  1. I really love the AMEX True Rewards Costco Business Card. I did it with the Exec Membership (in store promotion - OK, they got me!) Honestly, I've never liked discount or warehouse-style stores (yes I know they are the top retailer in the US but I am not a Wal-Mart/SAMS Club fan - at all) but Costco stores are bright, clean, full of name brand, high end and designer products at great prices. They have everything to stock your business, home office and more. Their Keurig coffee machine options rock (plus they have great coffee/tea/cocoa K-Cup deals), no one beats their electronics/printers/ink prices for my money. They have everything from name brand TV's to high end kitchen and office products, to designer clothes (Michael Kors, Lacoste, Joes Jeans, ) etc - all in one place. (Plus for entertaining, their wine and liquor prices are almost - near wholesale. Their catering prices are really impressive also.) Of course as I near the end of my introductory 0% APR period - I might use the card a bit less often - but Costco is one great one stop place for my business purchases, office goods, and even personal items.
  2. +1, DNB is what they look at primarily. Have purchased 5 vehicles through them all with NO PG. Congrats Impressive. I've heard it over the years here - but these are two solid examples (yours and OP) that really illustrate it.
  3. Updated / Bump: About Care Credit What a difference 9 months make. In April, asked for and got a CLI of $4K more (new total $7K credit line) which should cover my LASIK and the %$#^&* puppy expenses!
  4. Chase GM Business Card Applied online, Initially got the "we need more time" mesage Called GM Biz Recon line. Had extraordinarily detailed-but-friendly rep. She asked a few questions about the biz, # of emps, etc. Was business like but not a robot. Got approved for $7,500 K (based on the LLC's credit and a hard pull on myself, I'm sure) But with 2 (corporate) Cadillac's this will help, with how much we spend at GM/Cadillac dealerships
  5. Great tool. I 'unprotected' it, increased the row height/cell size for these myopic-til-I-have LASIK eyes - but other than that, it's awesome. Thanks a bunch!
  6. Bumpity Bump! Can someone please PM me the CrapOne errr, CapOne Executive Office information? (unless they deny me for another CLI - then they'll be CrapOne again) They took the little toy 500 "Not-So-Platinum" card I had with them 2 years ago, (I paid it off, and sockdrawered it for a while after they wouldn't give me a CLI) - then magically after I PIF'ed the third time, they bumped it up to $2500. That was major but my APR is something ridiculous (one rep said the card I have was for people with little credit history or new to the USA. Anyway, now it's one of my lowest limit cards at 2.5K (current bal 400, will PIF next month as usual), but the APR is high. Plus I get no miles or travel rewards so it's no go if we can't improve it a little bit. Thanks in advance!
  7. My CareCredit Report: I've had a $3K line with Care Credit (or CareCredit) for exactly 1 calendar year. My APR is something ridiculous but I've never paid a penny interest because I always use one of their promotions.** Previously my high balance total has been about $500 (new puppy - vet bills). Recently I got quotes for LASIK. For my super-myopic over now; now 40-year-old eyes, the costs is about $2200 per eye or $4400 total. (Cautionary note: Although you might see those newspaper ads for LASIK at $599 per eye - they like to price it out like airfare per one way - but they don't mean advanced technique NOR advanced levels of myopia). Anyway, since I have $2500 avail, and needed at least $2000 more I did a phone request for a CLI of $4000. That will still leave me over $2500 for emergency (or puppy incidents - guess which little furball, scratched his cornea last month? ) and I can pay off the LASIK and get my utilization back down. So I'm braced for a hard pull / HP but I went from $3K to $7K. If I can pair that with one of their purchase promotions > ** Most recently I they offered 0% interest if paid off in 18 months (under $1500) - so I used that at the vet. I'll have the little furball's bill paid off in < less than 6-7 months with no interest. Gre Their current promotions include Special Pricing and 0% interest on SleepNumber beds if paid off in 6 months. (Linky is here) . We'll see how it goes, or when my account reflects the new CLI. I'll report back.
  8. That is very encouraging, eppg. Excellent news.
  9. OK, great. 6 months of on time payments then trying for a re-fi. That sounds like a plan. I can't wait for those INQ's to be aligned into a bundle. After a couple of weeks of financing / apps/ obsessive credit watching, I'm shutting myself (and those bureaus) down for a rest!
  10. I was an AU on some Chase cards that were probated (and paid off - of course, after probate settled) after the cardholders death - but even though they were Paid Off In Full, there was some 'bad blood' with Chase. Using the help of others on this board, I applied (with a freeze on EQX due to too many inquires) online and got the dreaded '10 day message.' I immediately called the Recon Line posted here 888-245-0625 and got a nice rep. I told her the card would be a boon to me to skip ahead in boarding and to keep baggage fees down. She put me on hold for a few, came back with a $5K offer. I told her it was less than my other travel card - but that I would take it. Whew! Scoot over - I'm finally no longer a Chase card bench warmer. I'm back in the game. Thanks, CB'ers
  11. hrguy: Thank you for the insight. I will check re-fi rates. My scores that I had when I post the "app for Marv" have probably declined due to the number of inquiries (I was 'shotgunned' by the dealerships trying to beat my CrapOne rate. I know, lesson learned.) but I subscribe - so I'll pull the reports and see how bad the damage has been this month.
  12. This is excellent information. I had heard of cross-collateral but didn't understand the implications. With this in mind, I just financed my auto with CrapOne. Should I consider Transfer my balance (about $350 on a $2500 CL) from my CrapOne CC card to another CC? I was planning to PIF (I usually do every 90 days or so) in May or June. I've never been late on it and keep the utiliz under 15% on the few months that I have a balance on it Start thinking about refinancing my recent used auto purchase. It's not even 1 month old yet. I assume you have to have a loan for what? 12 months or more? (Edit: I just noticed that the OP has only had his vehicles for 90 days. I didn't realize banks would re-fi after such a short period.) (On the recent auto finance: I got 4.05% on a 2010 luxury vehicle with CrapOne and that beat the other offers from CU's/dealerships etc. at the end of March.) Or just let things be for now. I assume I keep the larger loan and move credit cards, or maybe not. I'm not anticipated not paying on time, but this is truly, truly scary. Any advice?
  13. Thanks, Marv. Your help and this forum have been invaluable. Two questions for Marv and or all forum contributors: Another dealership (same car brand) *swears* they can get me a better deal. But I have a file full of inquiries from the other dealership across town that shotgunned me to GMAC, Ally - but couldn't beat the CrapOne rate. So can one dealership beat another in financing, even within the same brand? According to my CrapOne "Blank Check" paperwork, my payment would be due on the 14th of the month. I'd love it to be 3 days later. Anyone ever successfully asked them to move the date BEFORE final signing of paperwork? Thanks in advance. All advice appreciated.
