Just to let you know ever since Alliant Credit Union became Alliant( they used to be United airlines Employee credit union) you have to have at least a 600 score for a loan of any type PS: they also have attitudes over there I have noticed . very rude.....

so how did things turn out?

Which credit unions pull just Equifax. I know penfed does and Jfcu. Does anyone know which other ones ?

I know there was a settlement we signed up for but it was for TrueCredit. We got 3 months for free..

Experian is the most difficult credit reporting agency out of the three of them. My husband and I have had so many problems resolving issues. If you call them they will screw your report up even more. You have to call the creditor to have them send something. It is nightmare dealing with them. and they are also very rude.

We have a Loan modification with HSBC they gave it to us for 6 months at a lower intrest rate of 4.24 percent. It has really helped however are situation has not changed. I noticed that many of you are getting Loan Modifications much longer Does anyone know how long they will extend them? And is anyone currently with HSBC and if so do you have a loan modification with them and how long are they giving you. If for some reason they do not extend it to us . Where can we go to possibly get a loan modifcation? Doesnt the Gov have a program? Does anyone have any info on this... I really appreciate it. thank you...

Im calling and cancelling mine too.. I was billed back on the 9Dec I wonder if they will give me a partial refund at least.

(Somebody in that chain is not being truthful.) I totally agree. That's pretty crappy of them. This seems very Shady.....

I also have HSBC for our mortgage and they lowered ares too. for 6 months then extended it for another 6 months now which will be up in May 2009. We are having no problem paying this morgage now that they lowered it and are situation has not changed in fact my hours were cut. I hope they can extend it for us as well..

who do they pull? What bank is that?

Hopefully they come out with something. We are in the same boat too. We arent late on our mortgage but we are struggling...

Is a loan modification for only a certain amount of time? or just for 6 months?

See if they can do a modification on your mortgage. A lot of the banks are doing this. It would lower you monthy payments.
