  1. Thanks for the info as well, kw79. Can I ask how you got to the point to where they accepted you? Were you consistently late or several months behind?
  2. How did you folks get the credit card companies to work with you? They won't budge for me. I was late with a few of them this past month. Caught up on all of them except Crapital One. Bank of America says they only work with you if you use a DMP company like Greenpath or Take Charge America. Do you have to get really, really behind before they do anything?
  3. I'm sorry for your loss, YW. But nice job on getting the CC companies to work with you. Maybe some of their employees do have souls.
  4. Thanks for the feedback. They actually work with my credit union, so I gave them a call. So far, so good, but I only spoke with them once.
  5. Dolly, did Incharge contact Juniper, or did you contact them directly? Also, how much is Incharge actually saving you per month on the payments, if you don't mind me asking? Thanks again for the updates.
  6. Thanks for sharing your experiences. It's greatly appreciated.
  7. Carrie, I can't give you a whole lot of answers, but I was looking into Greenpath myself. I just can't pull the trigger on calling them yet. I'm really trying to fix my own problems myself first, but, I did go on the Better Business Bureau website last week, and they do have a very clean record. Please keep us updated, I'd really like to hear your experience with the company that you do go with.
  8. I don't know about Citibank, but I called Chase yesterday to see if they would knock my minimum payment back to 2% (they jacked it to 5%) several months ago, and they did it in a heartbeat. Of course I lost my "lifetime" 3.99% APR (they made it 7.99%), but I can live with that. I'll get to it after I get my debt snowball back on track. The fact that you are current will only help. Good luck. Let us know how it goes, whichever path you take.
  9. Why do you feel you need to pay for it? What happens when she is out of rehab?
  10. I have just subscribed to this thread. Thanks for sharing your journey.
  11. Thanks for the info. Then I guess that a simple to call to them won't hurt.
  12. One of the major Michigan papers conducted a live chat with someone from Greenpath last week, and I was wondering if anyone has any experience with them? As far as their debt management services go, I mean. Any and all feedback would be appreciated.
  13. Not really, but it was so close this time. So...very...close.
  14. Queenmum (and anyone else with experience), how much info did Chase want? I'm about to do the same thing with them. I've got a good rate (3.99% for life), but they just jacked my minimum payment from 2% to 5%, like they did with many others. Any advice you'd give before I try my luck?
  15. What? Is that a site like The Onion? I know it's Favre, and he changes his mind like I change my socks, but I thought we had assurances he was done. At least he was this time last week.
