  1. Strangely, since that incident, she had not been delivering to this office. She was last here on Friday, when she left the note. I had filed a complaint on usps.com, and since then someone different has been coming up. This isn't necessarily unusual, because we have had different people come up before, but I just thought it was interesting. And usps never responded to my e-mail, which I also think is strange. My co-worker saw a mail carrier on street nearby our office and she told him what happened and he said that was the craziest thing he ever heard in his life. He asked the name of the mail carrier, but we don't know it.
  2. How are they addressed? Is the company name included? I actually don't put the company name, just my name the address and the suite number. That is usually enough, and all of the other mail carriers have had no issue with that. It's not like there is more than one company is this suite. I will start putting the company name though, just never thought to do it before.
  3. That chick is BOLD! She deserves two complaints. One for tampering with the mail and one for being a bish! Seriously, she is a total nut case. Do you think what she is doing is considered "tampering"? I guess it kind of could be... I am actually nervous about having packages sent here now because of this salamander. No, it's not tampering. Assuming your work place is cool with it just solve the problem by filing the form I referenced in an earlier post. That's what the form is for! Technically, the USPS is within it's rights to not deliver mail through a third party. Another way to solve it is to have the parcels addressed as: biz name, "ATTN: jen" or jen, C/O biz name. That way they are delivering to the business and it's the biz's responsibility to see that it gets to you. I don't know if the chick is tampering or not but I'd sure as h*ll say she was. Don't mess with my mail. Jen, you have double checked to verify that this person is a USPS employee not a contractor paid by the company to distribute mail within the building right? Oh yes, she works for USPS.

  5. So listen to this I've cut down on my mail packages at work but today I had one delivered to me and there WAS A NOTE ATTACHED TO IT!!! Basically stating that I should have my packages sent to my home!! I am so angry I could spit...I just wrote a complaint to the postmaster. Are people nuts or what??
  6. Actually, you may be right...she is not the regular mailman but she does come up quite often to fill in I guess? I don't know but honestly, she has a bad attitude. I am tempted to file a complaint but then I will probably have packages "lost".
  7. I usually have packages delivered to my job since I am not home during the day. I buy on ebay and have them sent to my job. I maybe get 4-5 packages a week. Today there was a mail woman that was different that the one we usually have and she basically told the girl in the front desk that I am not supposed to have packages sent to me here because this is technically an "office building" and they don't have to deliver them, they do it as a courtesy. Does this make any sense? I thought the purpose of a mailman/woman was to deliver mail? I kind of got the impression she was just pissed she has to carry the stuff occasionally, but I mean, that is her job isn't it?
  8. I have seen so FEW bugs in SoCal, it's not a concern. Literally. I've had some teeny stupid ants when it rains excessively, but no other bugs in my home since I've been here (2 years). Coming from Florida, it's practically a utopia. And I've definitely never seen a black widow. Awesome to hear!! thank you!! I had heard that compared to the southern east coast, California has very few bugs. I am from NYC so we have our bug season (spring and summer), I think the humidity has a lot to do with it. I HATE BUGS!
  9. Yikes!! I now feel all itchy after looking at that spider!! To OP, may I ask where you live? Just curious...I have a terrible fear of bugs and might be moving to So. California in the next few years and am slightly terrified because I heard black widows are abundant there. Either way, I would stand at a good distance and spray the thing with Raid for spiders. At least that's what I think I would do, I might be too terrified to do anything! LOL On second thought, after reading that it jumps, I would call an exterminator!
  10. I hear you. I know the smart thing is to quit when I have another job lined up. I am trying to stick it out. Been sending my resume out and reaching out to people I know to see if there are any openings in their companies. Hopefully, something will turn up for me eventually.
  11. Well, miracle, I got an apology today. I almost fainted.
  12. HAHAHA! I like that!
  13. Yes, it's a law firm. I can see where he might be hesitant. But if he is a lawyer, then he should be able to figure an "out". Yea, the thing is I just don't think he really is putting that much of an effort into it because he thinks that it will blow over. But things don't blow over here. They just fester and get worse and worse. I wouldn't mind if it was just a matter of us ignoring them and not speaking, even though that is uncomfortable, I could deal. But it is the constant catty remarks, and just overall negative vibe here that is too much to take. These girls are like 5 years old. How much ignoring can I do? I try to take the high road but it's getting harder and harder.
  14. Yes, it's a law firm.
  15. Not really, but I don't socialize much, just come home and relax. It's hard to have energy to go out and do stuff after work when you feel that your soul is being sucked out of your body while you are there...Ok maybe I'm being a tad dramatic, but that's how it feels sometimes And yes, everyone in this office seems to get sick a lot, even my boss, who we thought was immune to illnesses before we moved here, has gotten sick quite a bit in this place. I did research sick building syndrome, but how does one prove that? And Dang, your post was great...hope to be you soon! I admire your courage.
