  1. And how many total Comenity cards? I have one other comenity card. I wanted this one for the casino benefits. I did apply for 2 other cards last month Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  2. So I was approved for a Total reward's visa and I received the card in the mail and went online to activate it. Went out to dinner and tried to use the card and it was declined. I went back to the site and tried to activate again and it said activated. I have an account showing my limit and 0 balance. So I tried to pay a bill online and it was declined. Finally, I called them and she said this card has been canceled I asked why she said you will receive something in the mail. She wasn't sure. My account online still shows open with my limit and a 0 balance and nothing about closed or anything. I also keep getting emails telling me to use the card for this or that. How should I handle this? Or should I just move on.... JB
  3. Update! So I decided to try Navy Fed to purchase my leased car, of course, they checked Equifax my worse report and came back with 9.69%. So I declined the offer. I decided to check out my local credit Union and they also checked Equifax but gave me a loan for 1.99%. He also said he could get me a credit card and use the same credit pull so I agreed and he came back with a $10,000 limit the interest rate is 12% and if I want to do any balance transfers within the first 30 days the rate would be 3.99%. This is my highest limit yet. Now all I need to do is sit back and garden for a year and 1/2 by then my credit will be near perfect... all the medical will be gone, the only baddie will be the 1 late to Ford credit.
  4. When I joined over 3 years ago. My credit was not great at all. l had numerous collection accounts from old credit cards and lates on my mortgage and a modification. I probably had $3000 in available credit. They gave me $1500 limit and $1000 on another card. My credit was in low 600's like 610. Now it is so much better and they will not budge. I might not be the one to use as an example. I think they just don't like me for some reason. Now I have over $40,000 in credit available and I pay 90% of my credit cards in full. I do carry a balance on one card.
  5. I did do why chats HIPPA Process and had luck with Tru & Experian but Equifax would not remove. My choices are to pay it or report Equifax since the other agencies did remove them. I guess I got overwhelmed and tired of pursuing it so I gave up. I haven't had any problem getting credit except for Navy Fed.
  6. So I have been a member of Navy Federal for about 3.5 years. I have improved my credit and My Fico scores from CCT are Eq 678, Tru 710 & Ex 723 I have several medical items that I can not get removed but they will fall off in a year and a half so I am not worried about them. The 2 credit cards I have with NFCU I have tried multiple times to get a CLI with no luck. So I thought I would try for a Car loan I was approved but for 9.69% which I have declined. I have a leased vehicle that I am purchasing. So I decided to go into my local Credit Union and see what I could get with them. Both Credit Unions checked Equifax (my worst report). Founders Federal Credit Union gave me 1.9% for the Auto loan and he said he could use the same credit pull and open a credit card account if I was interested. So they called this morning and my new card has a $10,000 limit and the interest rate for 18 months is 3% then after that it will be 12%.
  7. My good Will Letter to Ford was denied. Just going to Garden and let things get better with time. My scores are 719 Ex, 719 TU, 685 Ex. They are not 800"s yet but they will get there.
  8. I have not chosen an airline for incidentals. When I first booked my flight I did not have the AMex card or the Citi AAdvantage so I booked through Priceline and I could not figure out how to get miles put into my AA account. I did sign up for the Citi AAdvantage card to get the free checked luggage and the upgrade on boarding through American when using the card. We are planning on visiting our Daughter in Orlando a few times a year.
  9. Yes I plan on closing the account by year end. I just got the Everyday card. So since I have the everyday card I can keep my points after I close the premiere rewards card and use them later?
  10. Do you mean the Premier Rewards Gold? If you don't fly, points earning cards are generally not worth it. It's hard to come out ahead without redeeming for flights when taking into account the annual fee. If your goal is to book a cruise, neither of those cards is going to help you. What you could do is focus on cash signup bonuses and cash back cards to save the money you need for the cruise. There's also the Carnival Cruise CC, but it looks like a 1% card other than cruise purchases. Yes. Premier Rewards Gold. We do plan on flying to Orlando a lot more to visit our daughter. I also would like to go to Vegas. Where do you live? Charlotte NC

  12. I have the American Express Premium rewards card. Please don't laugh.... I just took my first flight to Orlando to see my daughter last week. I don't plan on doing any international flying.... DH doesn't like to fly and therefore, I have never flown until last week. Which I loved. He is ok as long as he has several drinks before boarding. I have 50,0000 points with AmEx & 50,000 points with Citi AAdvantage and I would like to book a cruise for our 30th Anniversary next February.
  13. I will be getting my 50,000 points soon can you pay your bill with your points or do you lose a lot of value by doing that. From what I have researched 50,0000 points = $500 in airline tickets or $500 on a cruise gift card. Does it also convert to $500 towards your bill? The reason I am asking is I would like to use it to pay my balance and take that cash and pay down the one card I carry a balance on. I am new to points & rewards etc. but I am trying to understand. Except for one card, I pay off my balances every month.
  14. So now that both NFCU accounts are at a zero balance. When is the best time to try again?
