I want to thank the boards for all their help, I have started the process of sending out all the clarifications for names and addresses. TransUnion sent their first with the updates. It cleared off a bunch of baddies too. Nice, but I don't have the updated score. I notice that people have their scores on their signatures, but how do you have continual access to that? My next step once I get them all back is to get verifications from all those on my CR. However, I am little confused about how to get the score. Should I wait until I send the verifications and ask for an updated score? Any advice would be appreciated.

Hi there, I just wanted to give some encouragement because I am a newbie myself and as I have been reading over a lot of posts from newbies and I think we all have the same issues. I read the for new member section four and five time and Psych Doc's seminars. I also copy and pasted it and printed it out. I started a file of different letters and I read them over in my spare time. It has given me the education and the courage. It is hard, but you just have to make a list of processes and start to do things one by one. It is not as difficult as it seems.

Failing the identity part-unable to access my credit report!
Mischa replied to boysrus's topic in Credit Forum
I have to agree, you should call each of the agenices, both EX and EQ would not give me my free online report. The numbers are posted here somewhere on the board, I think under the newbie section. However, the cost me about seven dollars each for the score and the report. -
I am glad someone has the nerve to admit that you are scared. I know what I have to do, I am just a little overwhelmed. I think I tried to ignore it for so long that actually making a real initiative scares me. But I know that I can't go on ignoring something that I need to face. So I will do it. This board is like a dream come true. Even when I get a little discouraged and afraid, I read how so many people were in situations like me and just faced things and were able to get resolution.

I have the same issue on my TU account. I have three First Premier Accounts with the same balance, not a charge off or anything and then I have three CA with the very same accounts and the amount of debt owed. My first line is to dispute everything, but I am glad to see that I am not the only with this issue. I wasn't sure if this was legal or not. I think the first step is to disupte it.

Welcome to the board, I am a newbie like you and I am still getting my credit reports, but my credit score on TU was 435. I think this board is great and make sure you read all the PsychDoc transcripts and the newbie sections. I actually printed those out at work and read them at night. There is a definite learning curve, just read, ask questions, don't get disappointed because you have made the right step by coming on here and asking questions. I am still sorting out everything for me, but there are those that have had scores in the 300s and raised them to 700's, read the success stories as well, they can give you a good deal of advice and inspiration. Just don't give up.

How often were you in tears during this whole process?
Mischa replied to KimmyD's topic in Credit Forum
Have you ever tried getting an account through your job? Sometimes you can open one up through your job and avoid the ruts. I hope everything works out, I know I have definitely been there. -
I was hoping someone could help me, or point me to a thread that covers this topic. I would appreciate any advice. Thank you in advance.

I have my TU credit report. It is the first to come so far. I have 23 accounts in adverse Accounts. Many of them are Student Loans. The others are credit cards. I have seven credit cards on here, that amount to amoutn $6,000 total. However, there are so many repititions on here, I am totally confused. I have Arrow Financial Services repeated on here three times. They are all from First Premier Bank. I then have the three original First Premier Bank credit cards on here as well. I only had one (possibly two, I hate that I can't remember) credit cards. They all saw the accounts were opened and closed on 5/2002 and closed on 6/2003. The CA does not use this dates. However, my question is regarding the SOL. I live in Virginia, the SOL is 3 years. I am going forward of the process of validation because obviously there are some discrepancies on this report and I am sure it will be duplicated on the others. However, what are the chances I will receive a summons. I don't want to put myself in a position where I will appear in court. Can anyone help me with this? I am preplexed.

I haven't seen this topic, so I wanted to start it. I am a newbie and I am deligently reading over everything. I have my TU report and there are four accounts that are from the same credit card company, with the same amount of debt. I only had one First Premier Card, however, it is saying I have three with the same amount three times. I know this is a mistake. How should I handle it? Should I just send a validation letter? Also, my married name is included, even the address is incorrect, I don't live an apartment, entirely different address, however, they are still including my old apartment number in my new address. Any help is greatly appreciated.

I have six credit cards that are in CA. I hate to say that I haven't paid on them since my divorce was finalized. I moved out of state to start over, had a job and a home promised, and both fell through. I used my divorce settlement to pay my bills and I am just getting to the point where I can actually pay them. All of these credit cards are in CA. I never had a balance over $1000. Together, I may owe about $5,000, if that. However, I also have student loans, but from what I am reading that is different. I was able to rent an apartment for two years without a problem, I didn't even have to have a security deposit. I then brought a car, also didn't have a problem getting the car, either. But somehow after I was given the car, it seems my credit completely fell off. I terminated my lease to live closer to my job and was SHOCKED to find that every apartment I applied turned me down completely. No extra security deposit, no two months rent - completely denied. That has never happened, I ordered my reports, find a place to live and that is when I knew something was terribly wrong. I would never get a debt consolidation plan, I want a debt consolidation loan. My father will cosign for me. He says that he had one for $15,000 in credit card debt, and he paid $100 a month. He will go to my bank - BofA and help me get it. Right now, this is where I am and I know I have a lot to do. I just feel completely overwhelmed because there is so much I just don't know. Thanks for all your support and advice.

There are some things I am confused about, if anyone can help me, I would appreciate it. Has anyone done a debt consolidation loan? What are the pros and cons? Where can you find your SOL in your state for credit. Is there a listing here? I am very psyched about taking care of this, but I am not sure of some of the measures. Any help would be appreciated.

TRANSCRIPTS: PsychDoc's Credit Repair School
Mischa replied to MarvBear's topic in Frequently Requested Topics
I love the transcripts, they are very helpful. I have a question about your signature belleama. How did you get a link to your credit score like that or did you create it from a template. I am looking forward to being a success story on here. -
Well since I have been here, I have found out that two of the CRA will not give me anything online, so I have to send in for the reports. That's not a problem. Although I wonder why they are giving me a hard time seeing it online. I also found out that my credit score is actually now a 432, yikes!, so I know I need to get moving. I have problems with my student loans, that have either been in forebearance or deferrment. I am reading that this is also an issue. The type of loan that I am interested in getting is a debt consolidation loan. My understanding is that you list that debts that you want paid and they will give you the money to pay them all off and then you just pay one payment each month, normally under $100. This pays off the debt and it minimizes penalty and fees. I think this is my best option, however, I need to get my credit reports first from all the agencies and do the work necessary. I still have so much to learn.

Okay, I am so grateful for everyone's advice and help, I am sure I will be here for a long time because I am learning so much. I am trying to read over PsychDoc's transcripts and advice. I have a question that I haven't seen yet and maybe I just haven't gotten to it. In the advice I have read, everyone says to get a copy of all three CRA and dispute anything that is fishy or incorrect, which I plan to do. If they can't prove anything in thirty days they are required by law to remove it from my credit report. That sounds good to me. However, should I wait (and I am thinking I should) to apply for a Credit Consolidated Loan from my bank. My father (who makes a ton of money and has great credit) said he will co-sign for me. My bank is Bank of America. Will this loan help raise my credit score and has anyone ever tried them? Any advice is greatly appreciated...
