  1. But how do I return it to them?
  2. I have another post about a debt fraudulently sold to collection by T-mobile. The debt results from being charged to buy a leased phone. T-mobile refused to take the phone back. I still have it. My brother tried to return it to the store and they told him that we would get an envelope to mail it back. They never sent it. Was it *Admin prohibits insults that reference an individual's intelligence.* to think they are responsible for sending me a box or envelope or at least postage sticker?
  3. I did that already. I have the resolution. T-mobile told DTC that they refunded the disputed amount.
  4. It has appeared on my credit report.
  5. I received a letter from them. I sent the dispute, but today I found out that this collection is already on my credit report. The thing is I disputed this debt with Tmobile almost a year ago through the Mass Dept of Telecom. I have a letter saying that they credited the account and the balance is zero. I have disputed with experian and the CFPB. This seems like a violation but is it The collection agency or Tmobile?
  6. I believe it was only assigned but the only reply to my request for validation was immediate closing Sent from my iPad using Tapatalk
  7. I had an account with Comcast that closed. They referred the account to collections for $109. I was frustrated and disputed it for several reasons. I sent the validation letter to the CA, a dispute letter to Comcast and filed a complaint with MA dept of Telecommunication and Cable. The CA immediately closed the account and notified me by mail. A comcast rep called me. She acknowledged the dispute and sent me about 6 statements. (I asked for 24, as I didn't have access to my account anymore). A Mass TAC specialist contacted me. She was great because she was honest with me. I disputed the regional sports fee, and 2nd DVR fee(never used 2) and subsequent late fees. She promised to make inquiries about my complaints. 2nd CA sent a letter. I sent a validation letter I filed a complaint with CFPB The Mass TAC suggested that i file a complaint with the FCC concerning negative option billing about the regional sports fees. I file a complaint with FCC 2nd Comcast Rep contacted me. He left messages and emailed but I could never get him on the phone. 2nd Collection agency closed account and sent me a notice. CFPB notified me that Xfinity/Comcast refused to mediate the dispute with them. Comcast sent me an automated notice of account credit. They refunded the DVR rental fee. This was enough to cover the outstanding bill and return about 40 dollars. FCC sent a notice that Comcast had responded and they were closing the case. I was supposed to receive a copy and I still haven't. The MA TAC contacted me and said that along with the DVR fee, she had found about $13 worth of late fees that been charged earlier than proper. She had requested refund. Is it legal for the original creditor to assign a case to collection agency while the case is being disputed?

  14. Since they just give you your free report I think that they will assume that they get the 45 day deadline. The other thing to do to avoid extending the amount of time they have to investigate is sending a second letter to hurry them up. If they receive more communication from you while the period of time is going on they will automatically extend the investigation.
  15. The correct mailing address for the credit reporting agency's is listed on your credit report. I would always suggest starting with your free yearly report from all three agencies.
