Anyone know about the benefits (extended warranty, price matching, etc) on this card?
-
Any more info on whether what OP said might be true?
-
How the heck do you use Citi's extended warranty coverage?

Info should be in your card benefits guide, or you can call the number on the back of your card to get filing information. -
So I logged into my BOA Online account tonight to check on my credit cards, and only 1 of my 2 cards was displaying. I called into the automated system, and when I entered my cardnumber, was told the account was closed. Upon speaking to a rep, I was informed that "there was a compromise of the card", and that a new one was going to be mailed, along with a letter. I find it odd that the account completely disappeared from my online access for a data breach. Can anyone enlighten me to their experiences with BOA? Any chance this is AA disguised as something else?

NO...there is not a logical reason to do a HARD There's no good reason to do a hard for a CLI request at activation, but Chase does that

Does Chase do a hard pull to convert?

Get $20 from Amex if you spend $40 or more 2 times at Walmart

I signed up for this (it was directly through americanexpress.com) and was credited within 3 days of spending at my 8th location. Definitely legit. Good to hear it worked for someone, I was just worried about what repercussions there might be, or how they use the data of where you shopped, etc. I'm a little light on bank cards- Amex, Hooters, plus one trash card, and don't want to make waves with Amex right now I figure they already know where I shop anyway, so I might as well make a couple bucks off it -

FWIW, I applied very late one Saturday night (might have been 1AM or so eastern time)...their system runs maintenance at that time, and apparently my app had to be hand-processed due to this. Not necessarily a big deal, but had I known, I would have waited til Sunday morning.

Correct. Age wasn't a big factor, as I have several cards older than this. Not that a closed account is a horrible thing, but in today's credit world, I'd rather avoid any reasons for my other, more important lines of credit to be affected.

I was an AU on a card for quite a while, but due to no fault of my own (card wasn't used in some time, and foolish me, I wasn't watching it other than to make sure there were no lates, etc), Chase opted not to renew the card and close the account. Since the account has been closed, I don't think I can call into Chase and ask that they remove me, but I don't want an unnecessary "Closed by Granter" on my reports. Advice on how to fix this? EDIT - Surprisingly enough, I called and they did remove me. Will the account be removed from my reports?

They are not currently accepting new signups, and nobody has invites available to give. It's been this way for a while, and it's unknown if or when this will change.

I used my ATM/Visa card from my local bank, and WAS hit with a cash advance fee. I didn't try to have it waived as it was more trouble than it would be worth for the $5.

Credit Matters -- the Blog: And, Finally, the Big Dog is up

I agree that I think you're helping out those that aren't on CB yet more so than the ones on here. However, I would not say that we know too much. I don't think that's at all possible, which is why I absolutely love the site! Ignorance is bliss and misinformation is a mouse. Another great interview, interviewee, and write up! I'd say this week was a success. Thanks, BB. This week was a success. And I capped the week off with a new logo. I figure every time I have record traffic for a week, I better do something to make the site look a little more professional. Earlier this week I procured my new domain name: creditmattersblog.com. (Thanks to Mark Avery, a CBer, who tipped me off to creditmattersblog.com; thanks, Mark.) It shouldn't be that long before I launch it. We'll see. You probably know this already, but there should be an option in your BlogSpot control panel to use a custom domain, once you adjust your nameservers, so you wouldn't have to move or change anything. -
There was no option for Saturday AND Monday! J/K - love the blog!
