Very good point! This is why I love this forum...
-
No, but I did an online search, and it seemed that a lot of people weren't too happy with the service they received. I thought I would ask here too.

I am looking to finance a new iMac and The Mac Store uses Juniper as their lenders. I hear a lot of bad stuff about them, but I would like to know just how "bad" they are. Are they just another shady sub-prime lender? Should I wait another few months and just pay cash?
-
Are the accounts OC or CA? Can you be a bit more specific? If CA, have you tried disputing with them? 1-2 Punch? There are a lot of things you can probably do, but it really depends on what is being disputed and how..

Wells Fargo does. I had a secured card that just recently unsecured. In three months, I qualify for an automatic CLI. :-)

Yay! Congratulations! It's a good feeling, isn't it?

Any hope of Removing a Repossesion Redeemed
praesignis replied to evaluation's topic in Credit Forum
If you get it removed, I would like to know how. I also have a redeemed repo on my reports. The car is paid off now (I still have it), but GMAC won't budge on the way they are reporting. I've sent two Goodwill letters already... -
Wow. That's nice. Way to rain on someone's parade. Sorry if we bore you with our old news. Go railroad a different topic.

ME TOO!!! I just checked and, lo and behold! CLI! My online statement said I am eligible for another one in another 3 months (assuming I keep paying my bills on time).
-
I have Progressive, and I know that they also pull CLUE, which is another CRA for car-related stuff. That's where they will find any reported claims, tickets, traffic violations...You could ask if they pull that one as well.

It specifically states on the CJ website that they will report to the bureaus.. There is no other reason to deal with them other than a score jump Does it expressly state that they will report to all three of the MAJOR credit reporting agencies (ie. EX, EQ AND TU). If not, then there is no breach of an implied agreement. If it DOES, however, make such a claim, then bring the OAG into the picture for the deceptive practice. They could use the work now that they have all but finished raking Conn's over the coals... I will not argue the second point...most mall jewelry is, IMO, crappy. In at least three different areas on their website they specifically state that they report to the major credit bureaus. Yes, the jewelry is crappy, but that really isn't the point. The point is they claim to offer a service (credit repair) in exchange for a demonstration of responsible card usage. Clearly, if they are not reporting as they say they will, then their website is misleading.

Perhaps CJ should stop advertising that they are a "credit repair" tool then. If they aren't going to pay to report, then they can't really help, can they?

myfico or score watch. Those are direct with EQ and the only accurate scores, IIRC. There is a tracking tool. It's like $8.95 per month. I was poking around the myfico site, and I even signed up for the free trial but I wasn't finding a tracker. I should add that I'm well aware of FAKO and FICO, my personal amateur opinion was really that I'd like to know more about movement than about specifically a score and it's accuracy. While I know that score on CreditKarma may be off, it would still be nice to see the fluctuations, especially since I'm in the middle of disputes and such. Really, I'd like to see the impact specific TLs have, if I can. Maybe it's not possible. Well, it tracks my score, but that's over several months. I suppose if you are just signing up then they only have one data point and therefore nothing to track yet. I also made myself a spreadsheet on which I can track my FICOs, FAKOs and "baddies".

Credit score preventing us from renting an apartment!
praesignis replied to Judes's topic in Credit Forum
I live in Seattle and it isn't unusual to see prices like that for closet-sized apartments.
