  1. So will this then be reported as 120 days late until it is paid in full?
  2. Hello, I have two student loans with National education. A year ago I got a phone call with a company called "MRS BPO". They stated they were working with Nat Ed to collect on these loans. I set up payment arrangements with them and have been paying $600 per month to them for 14 months now. Problem is.... National education is continuing to report my loans as 120 days late every month. (most recent reporting was aug 2013). Payments made to MRS BPO do not show up anywhere on any of the three reports. How do I handle this? Should I call or write Nat Ed directly? Do I write to them or the CRA? How should I handle this?

  4. Hello, Forgive me if this has been answered before. I have lived in five different states in the last 7 years. (CA,FL, NY, MI, and now WA). Most credit was opened in the first three. Do I use the SOL for the state in which the credit was opened, or WA where I live now? Just starting the disputing process. Thanks!
  5. Hello, So I am beginning this credit repair process and have read countless hours on the forum... but have a couple of questions regarding some of my student loans. I completed medical school, residency, and now am a physician with a very handsome salary. This is my first year in practice, so my first year making real money! It also left me with about 300k in student loan debt. Here are my questions: 1.) Sallie Mae- I have multiple loans with them, they were my primary loan source through medical school. My current payment is $3995.00 per month and has been on time for the past 6 months. However, during residency I went through multiple forbearance and deferment. SM is horrible with record keeping and I had a hard time keeping up with them as they treat every individual loan as a single entity. So I have some 30 day lates and 60 day lates on a few loans. Is the best way to get these removed a good will letter, or should I ask them to verify? Is this even possible to get removed? 2.) ECMC- I am currently in a rehab program with them. My last payment on the rehab program is due in June. These are for my undergrad loans, which just got lost in the shuffle of constant moving around. I believed they were in deferment when they weren't. What should I expect when the rehab is completed? How quickly will I see a change to my credit report, and how much will it improve my score? 3.) Nat-ED- These were a few private loans during medical school. Again, I believed they were in deferment and they weren't. They charged these off to a company called MRS-BPO. A lady called me from this agency and I set up payments with her for $575.00 per month. When she called she represented herself as being from Nat ED directly. I had no idea that they were really a CA. So Nat-Ed obviously still shows up on my report as being in default, however I have made regular payments to MRS-BPO for 9 months now. They don't show up at all on my report. Should I dispute the NAT-ED on my report, call them and tell them I am paying their CA? How should I handle this? Thanks so much for all your help!
  6. Hello, So I have done my research, and "triaged" my reports based on Psychdoc's recommendations. Just have a few questions... 1. I have multiple loans with Sallie Mae- Some show paid on time, some show 60 days late, some show 120 days late. Do I send a Goodwill/FCBA/ or Nutcase letter for each loan based upon the delinquency stated? Or would I be better served sending just a goodwill letter for example. All loans are current at this time, and are set up on Auto pay so they will remain current from now on. 2. I have a few accounts that are listed twice or even three times on each individual report. For example- credit union credit card- Listed once as a charge off, and a second time as 120 days late with no charge off. Am I better off just asking for validation, or should I send FCBA? 3. What do I do about charge off's that are listed with no CA name or contact information? How do I find this out or how do I know where to send letters to? Thanks!
  7. Hello, A little background. 18 months ago, I got divorced. It totally trashed my credit as I was unable to pay ANYTHING to my creditcard debt. I am now 18 months behind, and have charge offs etc. I have now finished my college education and just got a job which is going to pay me a very handsome salary! So. I want to get out of this ditch I have been living in for the last year. I could technically afford to have my entire 17k worth of debt paid off in 3-4 months. Do I offer pay for deletions of the credit file? (which would basically leave me looking as though I have no credit), or do I offer to pay in full with the request that they remove negative information? Don't know if this is even possible... I obviously want the best score possible as a goal and to possibly purchase a home in the next year to 18 months. Right now my FICO scores are trashed at 478EX, 518EQ, 523TU. I can't get credit anywhere (not that I am trying). Thanks!
  8. Hello, Just a little background. This is unfortunately my second go around with both CB and credit repair! About 6 years ago I repaired my credit with CB and mostly disputing with CRA's as "not mine". I got my score up to a pretty respectable level, had lots of positive tradelines etc. Fast forward to now. I recently went through a divorce. As a result, I could not pay my bills for the last year. I just pulled my CR and have an abismal FICO of 444. My plan is to begin this process all over again. I don't think I will have much success with the "not mine" approach as the debt is much more recent than when I disputed last time. I will be in a financial position in three months to pay off all debt. My question is....should I pay off all debt and ask for "pay for deletions", should I ask for verification in hopes that I can get all of this off my CR this way? Is it better to just have paid charge offs on my record? My goal is to buy a home in the next 18 months. I am in the fortunate position that I start a job in august which will quadruple my current salary, so my income won't be an issue as far as paying debt. However, I need to get out of this hole the last year has put me in.
  9. Hello, Just a question. I am set to quadruple my income in 5 months. I am finishing my residency and will become an attending physician yay me! I have unfortunately gone through a divorce in the last year and my ex has trashed our credit. My score is now a disgusting 509. Additionally I am responsible for our aprox 15000 cc debt per the divorce agreement. I cannot afford to pay even the minimum payment right now. My question is, do I enter a debt management program now, or do I wait until my giant leap in income in a few months, offer good will letters to all the cc companies and pay them all off in full? I hope to buy a home in the next year and need to greatly improve my score in a short period of time in order to do this. Thanks so much!
  10. Couple of questions regarding our sallie mae loans and what we should do. My DH and I are both residents. We make a combined income of about 90k and have a ton of debt from medical school as well has 2 children and a large daycare bill. We both took out tuition answer loans from Sallie Mae when we were in medical school. In my opinion these are the worst student loans we could have possibly taken, the intrest rate in high, and we can not put them in to forberance or deferment while in residency (like we could with other loans). Long story short Sallie Mae is telling us we have to pay up.. to the tune of over a thousand dollars a month for the two of us. We quite simply cannot pay right now. We have about 18 months left of residency and once it's over we will have no problem affording our student loan payments. I just don't know what to do and our loans are in danger of going into default. How long does it take for a private loan to go into default? What will happen to us when that happens? And how can I get sallie mae to stop calling us literally 7 times per day? Thanks!
  11. Hello, I just applied for a bill consolidation loan. I was denied due to a "serious deliquency" on my credit report. When i checked it National Education has placed a 60 day past due on my account with them on a loan that should be in deferrment. Now a little background this loan went back into repayment in July. I immediately called them as i am in residency and need the loan to be put into deferrment. No problem said the rep just send in a defferment request form. I did that. Then they called and said that since i got married and my name changed they needed proof of name change. Ok so i did that. Well then I kept getting phone calls saying they did not recieve the information. I faxed probably ten times the same forms over and over again. Finally they said the problem is fixed and i am back in defferment. Now i check my credit and they reported 60 days late way back in July. WTF? What can i do to get this off my credit report? Basically i am being penalized for their incompetence! Michele
