Holy Crap! Does this mean NFCU likes me?
eLiTeGoodGuy replied to creditbwacked's topic in Credit Forum
Congrats... I decided to give it a try and was approved for $10,000 at same APR. EQ score of 651. Boy do I love NFCU -
I PM'd whychat directly about a year+ ago about 2 judgements that were on my CR's. whychat was wonderful and answered my questions and helped me out as I went back and forth between courthouses gathering information. Well life happened and I put all the credit repair on hold and didn't end up mailing the CRA's to get it fixed. Well fast forward to about a month ago, I've been putting serious thought in buying a house and have these judgements looming over my head, especially one big unpaid judgement. I put together a letter containing all that information I gathered last year and it worked. Got an email from Experian that there was a change on my report, pull the latest report this morning and the big judgement is gone. They wouldn't remove the old addresses off my CR but my judgement is gone, that's the main thing. Hopefully it works on the other 2. Thanks again Creditboards and Whychat

Thanks guys, I'm gonna hold out then lol. I had the button on there when I was secured, went unsecured a little over a year ago. And once it unsecured never saw the button again until today. Almost pushed the button lol. I haven't been following the boards as frequently as I should have been (Fico still on the rise though lol) and wasn't sure if the BOA scare was over. I guess it's not.

A while back I was considering hitting the BOA Luv Button (CLI) But I held off because of all the stories of people getting CLD and closed, was just trying to lay low. How are they now? Are they still trigger happy. Has anyone recieved any success lately?

But it doesn't make sense... I went for a little while, ended up having to leave. About a year later (still owing from the first time) I went back, to leave again. When I left I owed around $6000. ($3000 each time) RCS is saying I owe $6000 + their interest+ fees, to them (the school). I have (Had) 2 loans out with ECMC for $3000 each + Plus their interest + fees (now my balance is pretty much paid off) Is the school trying to double dip? Since the school is trying to collect it and not the government does it follow the normal SOL?

Also I should add... It wasn't a traditional college, it was more of a technical college (another big mistake, but that's another issue lol)

I'm not sure what's going on with this. I went to a college about 4-5 years ago and due to life changes I had to stop going. My Ex-wife handled it all (I have to admit I was a completely stupid about that kind of stuff) Well anyway. I know she let it go into default status, and I had taxes taken from me this year due to it. I got a much better job, went to the "Who has my loan" link on the sticky, and after about 3 phone calls found out who currently handles those loans. ECMC. Got it all worked out to clean up with them. Have everything in writing etc... Well Today I receive a call from RCS a collection agent for the college I went to. He said that when you default it goes back to the college and I have to pay the college directly, not ECMC. I told him that wasn't what the government said... the website and the government loan # that I called said I owed my money to ECMC and no one else. He called me a liar, said I should have paid them and not ECMC. He then got really rude with me, and said he's considering this a refusal to pay so the college can file suit. At that point I just said all further communications concerning this must be in writing and not on the phone (I know I need to mail them a letter stating the same) Please tell me he is wrong. If he is correct and I am way out of the ballpark on this one. If it goes back to the college and not as a government loan would that follow as a private loan and follow normal SOL's and no tax taking (sorry just mad right now and can't think of the word lol)

Try making payment arrangements? They asked me if I wanted to make payment arrangements on my $322 bill when I went way over my minutes one month... I wasn't late, they just didn't think I could pay it. I just told them no thank you, it will auto deduct from my checking account when it's due. Now I dunno how willing they will be to help like that since you're suspended.

I've got a NFCU $250 Gift Card... Spent $25,000 in 4 months to get it lol

An alias summons is a duplicate summons issued at another time, or served in another way after the original has expired, or hasn't been served, or had no effect, or produced no response for some reason. Technically, the court has probably sent a second summons, since the first one didn't produce the results they thought it would. (Copied from WikiAnswers) So it sounds like they just issued a second summons and somehow that magically made it's way all the way to you in TX. I'd look into that somehow, find out how they successfully summoned you being in a different state

Is it bad that my first thought was "Yay! I'm almost average!!!!" Nope... That was my first thought too lol

Yeah I dunno where to go from here... I guess I may go back and ask them to look on the lien docket if it's not there I'm guessing it was never entered in as a lien on my property. From the way I'm interpeting this, "Every judgment for money rendered in this Commonwealth by any state or federal court or by confession of judgment, as provided by law, shall be a lien on all the real estate of or to which the defendant in the judgment is or becomes possessed or entitled, from the time such judgment is recorded on the judgment lien docket of the clerk's office of the county or city where such land is situated;" And if they don't have anything listed for me on the lien docket, then it's not an official judgement because it was supposed to be entered in there too. I could fight to get it removed because it's not officially there.

K back, I went back to the clerks, asked for exactly what you said word for word. The lady's there had no clue what I was talking about. They said they only thing they have for judgements is what they gave me before. Which isnt gonna help me. They did however make a screenshot of the data thats entered into the computer.
