  1. I have one of my Amex cards with a 10k limit paying for some random credit monitoring service at $14.95 per month. They don't seem to mind (4+ years in a row now?)... I still get paper invoices for that one single bill... Just like I get paper invoices for Netflix on another... ;-) And George, it's refreshing to come back here every few months or so see you dog Amex. It makes me feel special that Amex hasn't yanked my accounts yet.... Of course, now I said that, they will all disappear, mine, my wives, and my businesses... But if I don't raise a sword at the monster I will always be afraid... Thanks for helping me make sure I don't get complacent... The fear of some random AR causes me to carry multiple visas, mastercards and a discover in my Castanza wallet just to quaff the fear... My father-in-law shakes his head and shows me his wallet that is like 1/3 of an inch thick - yet he does not understand the fear! Sunny beaches in Barbados...
  2. I guess that is better than the rate jack to 24.99% I got from a Shell MC. Luckily, it's just sock drawered and I pif every month, but it's sort of funny to see them state that "Due to business being bad we need to charge more interest".... ;-) I should add, I don't think I've used the card since it was issued, so them rate jacking to 1000% and leaving it open is better than closing it. ;-) Zero % utilization and all.

  4. My take is that the SOL time does not accrue when the party is out of the commonwealth, but only when they reside in the commonwealth. Additionally if they use a false name to hide within the commonwealth then the SOL time doesn't accrue. The exception seems to indicate that you can track the person down to where they are at, the SOL time continues to accrue... This is an interesting law!
  5. oops - I feel like a numbskull now. ;-)
  6. Office Max rep told me that they are not processing any credit app right now , only to existing Customer, i called back several times and was told the same thing We received a new OfficeMax business credit application in the mail the other day - one backed by Citibank. There was a special invitation code attached - I assumed that they were sending them out to previous HSBC Officemax card holders and chose not to participate this time. There is nothing yet on the OfficeMax web site... I found the application - says you can visit www.odbusinesscredit.com and mention source code D004 - I would guess this is a revolving account and not net 30

  8. Same ISP is generally ok - I run an ISP and our customers are able to pay us for our services with Paypal - many are using our ip space to access paypal...
  9. We love the card - it has come in handy many times. We are a C-Corp and were around for 3+ years before we applied so had not issues. If we use in the store, we do have to educate the cashier on what button to push for "no we do not have PO".... It may not be their problem, but they are the only company to have ever lost a payment we sent in. Since they have no online access to pay your monthly payments you are at the mercy of the USPS.... They didn't decrease our credit line or (if I recall) penalize us heavily for a missed payment (though it was not missed. ;-))
  10. I think with $9k available to play with you can just cycle through the starting accounts buying products that you can use now or in the future (rather than paying for a service), then let those age, and move on to the mid tier accounts.... Some will say that you could pay for Credit Builder - that is much cheaper than $9k and will get your non-reporting accounts reporting to DNB, but I wouldn't do that based on principal alone.... Without using personal credit, I don't think there are many short cuts other than just running your business and doing business with creditors that report...
  11. You could be like us, where we were approved for Office Depot (Tech Depot), but never received anything via postal mail or email on how to actually use the line with them... That was years ago and we moved on, but I remember being a bit frustrated at the time and keep seeing the tradeline in our records, but have never been able to use it.... ;-)
  12. No - a division is a logical separation of your business - to the tax man the division and your business are one and the same. If you wanted to set up a separate entity for tax/credit purposes that would not be called a division, but instead would be labeled a subsidiary. ;-)
  13. Thanks Credit Boards... Another (usable!) trade line. 15k, all instant, instant order, instant approval, instant registration. ;-)
  14. I was wondering the same thing and then in the mail we received two invitations to come down and purchase new fleet vehicles saying we were approved for another $50k... Seems odd as when we did the first truck they said that they would require a personal guarantee on a second truck if we wanted one, but then again it's been 8 months and we've been paying double since day one... So! I guess we'll have to wonder a bit longer!
