Hello everyone, I just want to start off by saying that this site and all of you tha are on here are amazing. There is a boat load of information on here, now I need to start digging in and get my feet wet.
OK, last year I went through a CCCS, "take it off my Credit", I was disappointed spending $800 to only have my score increase by about 25-30 points.
I want to buy a house for my family and enjoy a piece of the american pie again since my divorce threw me down the rabbit hole.TIOMC canged my score from a 502 to about a 540. I have decieded that if I want to change my score, I need to be diligant and do it myself.
First off I pulled my report and went through it with a fine tooth comb, 17 hard inquiries for buying a car back in january really irritated me,
I printed off all of the inquiries and mailed them out certified on the 5th of april. I have received 2 responses from cap1 and cap1 auto that i need to have the dealership fix the issue. I think this is BS since the dealership itself ran my credit through all these lenders and cluttered my report with inquiries.
Now here is the question, what avenue do I take to try and clear this issue up. I gave them 30 days to respond but Im proactive everyday with my 3 ring binder checking dates for thier responses. Is it the CRA who should remove the excessive inquiry or the dealership?
I have also sent out 5 PFD on baddies so wish me luck on those
I know all the information is here on this forum, its a little overwhelming, but full of great information and knowledge.
So here is what I am up against:
1) removing as many inquiries as I can weather they were done without my consent or not, ( you would think if they dont have a signature they would have to remove them)
2)PFD on the 5 accounts that are bringing my score down
3) a judgement from a repo 6 years ago now with LVNV, I will tackle that one last.
any help in learning is greatly appreciated, I have never used a message board before so please be patient with me, I have printed the terminology page so I can better understand what everone is saying so I wont have to ask the " what does that mean" question.
Thank you for listening and is a pleasure to be here amongst a vast knowledge of good people. I look forward from hearing from you guys, Thanks
