No I can not even risk going the short-cut route now(purchasing an aged corporation/llc) because it doesnt seem to be worth the hassle and I dont want to messed up my firm's brand/reputation. Hate the fact that it gonna take some PG to get Biz Credit and LOC. I did have an old inc but i stupidly let it lapsed (it would be a 3 years old company ... hmm i need to see if i want to renew it) i hate to say this but I feel like an infant in this section again lol And really the magic number for businesses is 2 years. I have 7 more months to go Oh happy joy! lol I will just going to proceed with the tier 1 right now and wait till the 2 year anniversary for the tier 2 -5 process.

Brndnh721 - I guess based on what you just said "a lot of companies" just aren't reporting anymore - would it make sense for one to get credit builder to manually add ourselves?
-
Times have changed brother , if it asks for your social they are requiring a PG and they wont process with out it. If your talking about Mobil that is brand new that was just changed about two weeks ago and you have to PG the account now unless your business brings in more then $5 mill there is no way around it These days there isn't much separation between personal and your business credit for small business owners. Wow... so in a nut shell - God forbids if your business tank then you will have to file a double bankruptcy? on a business level and personal level? wowwwww I really have been out of the loop. Thanks @Brndnh721 for your insight.

Thanks that wont sit well for me. I see it does have pro but as I have researched - it could be misinterpreted as fraud even if you have good intentions and definitely isn't worth the hassle. Thank you for your insights and comments. My LLC is an year and 3 months old. Haven't applied for anything yet. I am about to focus on my Tier 1 - just trying to read the fine print.

D'oh just found the answer to question #1... which goes to show that READING is still fundamentals!

In regards to the Tier 1: Is there a suggested minimum purchase for each tier 1 trade-lines? Which tier does the following heavy weights r on: Amex, Chase, Citi, Bank of America, SunTrust, and Capital One belongs to (if I missed it I apologize in advance)

It seem the Patriot Act requires you to report your SSN. I rather not use my SSN because after all business is suppose to be separate from personal. I was told by a former Credit Underwriter that SSN is used to validate you as an user but some companies don't honor this and pulls from your personal. I gather if you mail it in you have the option of leaving the ssn field blank - as it was discussed in another post not to put your EIN in your SSN because it would be constitute as wire fraud.

lol I was speaking to Ray of Silver State Business Builder... and lo and behold like an educated business man I come on here to see what yall have to said and it falls into "too good to be true" because he try to make it looks like he was doing me a favor by waiving a $500 fee and that I only have to pay $97 fee to get the ball rolling. I was like they must be preying on the fact that we "need" it for our business. On to the next and yes I agree with the majority using this board will save u $ and time. Time may have changed, but the fundamentals hasn't. Perhaps it time for someone to create a new thread call "how to create business credit in 2010" Do your homework and if you are a serious person about your business then you will know that "Rome wasnt build in a day"

I have a question - with an Aged LLC/INC I understand you purchasing the right to bypass time. However I know you get access to the aged LLC/Inc DUNS and credit file. Can you however change the name of the aged LLC/Inc or will this reset the credit file back to day one? i.e. I purchase an aged LLC from GA for $2000 and it comes with a DUNS and credit file. I dont like the name but I like the DUNS # and credit file - is it ok to change the name or should the name be retain as purchased?

Wow this has been an interesting thread. So I come to the conclusion it pays to have a lawyer on speed dial when it come to contract like this. The 3 day rule ... is that known as buyer's remorse protection? After the 3 days has passed (72 hours) are you stating that the dealer can not take the car back UNLESS the finance company say lemonade OFF to the DEALER and then the dealer has legal recourse per some contract stating that you have to return the car if the finance doesnt go through? What the point of getting a car off the lot on marginal credit and then having to return it? That's a waste of time and money imo.

I applied for the at&t blackberry curve on wirefly.com yesterday I thought my credit has been good enough to get it approval. Needless to say AT&T want me to cough up $500 as a deposit. I said hail to the no! And I click cancel the order. But Inphonic, Inc went ahead and charge my phone. Turn out they were trying to do the old switch and bait method on me via intent to decieve by deception by switching me to T-Mobile for zero dollars(which by the way does not carry the Blackberry Curve) and i didnt authorized them to do that. I said if I want a tmobile (which I am not happy with anymore because on my recent international trip to Trinidad and Tobago I got ZERO ACCESS via my sidekick and while my peers were talking it up on the blackberry. Anyway I call up wirefly 800 nbr and raise a ruckus and ask why yall charge me if per website said if i didnt want to do the $500 all I have to do was cancel the order and there wouldnt be no charge? The stupid csr was like well uhm I see that you were approve for tmobile for zero dollars - I said no u didnt trying the old switch and bait method on me. I said TO CANCEL THE ORDER and reverse the charge pronto. She have the nerve to transfer me to a specialized department who attempt to try to convince me to stay with tmobile and I said listen dont insult my intelligence cuz one the curve is an att exclusive product and second I can read. So reverse the charge. She said it would take 5 to 7 business days for that to happen. I lost it right there. I said that is so wrong and so deceptive - that I am going to report yall to the BBB and dispute the charge once it clear via my bank. Told her to have a good day. I print out the CONVERSATION. i went to the bbb.com website and promptly fill out the compliant while the memory was crystal clear in my mind. I call my bank and they said they have to wait till the charge clear. Have to make a notice of complaint on record and she put that in my notes. So I am thinking I need to pull my personal again and see why it was denied. but i better get a letter so I can get a free report from the big 3. Just pure aggravation - I think I just get a cheap phone and get the curve off ebay and change plans. I mean isnt that the new consumer's hustle to beat these cash cow telecom businesses?

Yall have me thinking.. When you get tired of a tractor.. couldnt you export it to another country? (Get a big ROI?) That way it could pay for your upgrade or put some $$$ back into your businesS? For ie. if I have a John Deere Tractor and I know of a buyer in Colombia South America and he would wire me cash for the transacation. I would ship that sucker faster than the wire transfer. I am guessing I would have to check with the State Department for embargo list and the country rules and reglaution. But anyway OP did you get your tractor yet?

$800 will be a writeoff your business expense chargeback with a D&B is just a headache to expolde to a royal pain in the behind Always read the fine print before you sign on the dotted line Verbal agreement doesnt mean Jack ~ especially if an associate from D&B. U would have to have the associte fax over a written agreement Does D&B have an escape clause? I know certain credit card vendor will go to the 8th wonder of the world for their customer. But good luck - You will/would learn that since u blew/blown the whistle on D&B that your account will be marked/could be marked. always tread slowly

see the post above you I am looking for leads on tablecloths, chair covers, flowers, etc. Anything and everything you would need to plan an event. Off the top of my head - look at your local yellow pages. I know in Atlanta, GA we have a venue call the MART and it isn't open to the public. I have passed many wholesalers that specialize in what you want. They located off Stone Mountain Industrial Blvd and a few shops off Church Street in Decatur GA. I know that isnt much. Also try the various search engine. Are you specializing in a certain type of event or are you a generalist?
