My husband and I are very closely monitoring our scores. We are less than two months away from being able to purchase a home.... everything is looking good, and then SUDDENLY HIS SCORE DROPS ALMOST 200 POINTS OVER NIGHT!!!!! Absolutely *nothing* has changed on his report! dropped from a 711 to a 574 on experian, 723 to a 630 on Equifax, and no change on Transunion. This makes me want to cry. I don't understand what happened!!!

TX AG Office posting a past due balance after being $0 for months!

I sent out a request cmrr to have the information changed. I'm sure they'll probably say the same- that they can't do anything about it. They refuse to return our calls, even after talking to someone multiple times on the phone about it. They're claiming they don't even have the order from the judge to close out the account, which is a lie, because they did it once already and I have the paperwork they gave us when they closed it out I told my hubby that I'll probably just dispute it with each bureau and try to have it removed. If I treat it like any other creditor, I have more than sufficient evidence to show that it's wrong. -
Our custody case was finished out earlier this year, with the judge wiping all child support, and zeroing out our account. We have 50/50 custody and no one owes anyone anything. Kids aren't on any state assistance of any kind. I have paperwork from the OAG office, and the judge stating no more child support was due or owed. I have all the papers showing that everything was closed out, and that they terminated the order to have it withdrawn from his check automatically every month (we opted to draft it this way voluntarily, because it's removed before taxes are calculated in our state, so it was to our benefit.) Yet the OAG office wants to report a balance anywhere from $24-75 (depending on which bureau) as one month past due- out of the blue for no reason. After months and months of reporting paid $0. We were never past due at any point in time, ever. They did this one other time in March, but I disputed and it went back to $0. Tried to call them, and they said they aren't reponsible for how it reports, and can't control it. Yeah, right. Who is reporting it this way then?? How do I handle this one? Just like disputing with any other creditor again? I was hoping that disputing and having it corrected the first time would be permanent

That is good to know. Up until this point, I had not been including the entire complaint packet with my dispute. I wasn't sure if it would make any difference. I'm a little rusty. About to start hitting it hard again as soon as my finals are over this week.
