  1. 11 inquiries....time to start pulling. pull pull pull....10! woo hoo! pull pull pull pull pull pull pull 8! nice! pull pull pull pull pull....Five! getting there! pull pull pull pull....four! wait....four...TEEN? FOURTEEN!!?!! ()#( YOU, TRANSUNION, YOU (#%@)( 017*(#*%) @#(%*. (that's a recap of my morning)
  2. The main goal is a score bump. I know that overall util % affects score, but I don't know how much individual account util % affects it. I just wanted to see if it would be better to try to get as many as possible under a certain util %, if I'm getting dinged for every card that's over their threshold of "high utilization".
  3. Navy Fed - One high balance, high util, 10.65% One low balance, moderately high util, 12.65% Chase - One medium balance, moderately high util, 15.24% One low balance, medium util, 15.24% Amex - One medium balance, medium util, 17.24% (holy crap, I never realized it was that high. bummer) Local credit union - One high balance, high util, 10.99% Thanks!
  4. Hey CB! I tried searching around a bit but wasn't finding exactly what I was looking for. So, the sale of a car (an extra car that doesn't need to be replaced) is going to net about 14k in profit, which I'd like to use to pay down balances on some cards. I've been kicking around some different options in Excel, trying to figure out the most advantageous way to spread it around, but I thought I'd ask to see what might get the best effect score-wise. All accounts are current, but I have several that are high-util, some with high (dollar amount) balances. I can post a semi-detailed breakdown, if it would be helpful. I tried the myFico simulator, but it's not really helpful for this. Anyway, here are my options, and I'm sure we'll end up doing some combo of these, but I want to see what will have the best effect on my score: - Pay off small balance retail cards (this is a given, I have a couple I'd like to not have to worry about every month that don't amount to much) - Make a large payment towards the highest balance card - Pay off a few of the medium-balance cards - Split the money up equally between all cards - Pay the balances down on as many cards as possible to get them below 50% util So, I just wanted to see if I could get some guidance on what the best route might be in this situation. The impact on monthly payment looks like it will be about the same (within $30/month) regardless of what option I choose, so that's not a huge consideration. I just don't know quite enough about how a score is calculated to know that individual cards close to their balance have vs. zero balance cards, vs. cards below 51% util, etc. Thanks for any help in advance!! ada
  5. Sorry about that, I thought I was subscribed to this thread but apparently I wasn't! The attorney representing Santander agreed to have them delete the tradelines in exchange for me dropping the suit. I haven't even gotten the paperwork from him to agree to the terms, and already all but one entry on one bureau is gone! Saw a huge (for me) FICO bump today! The reason this worked is because they legitimately were reporting mine incorrectly. I paid the account off in June and they were STILL reporting a balance due despite multiple disputes.
  6. Go baby go! Man, this is SO much more encouraging having all 4 of the EQ dailies. I was finally able to get CS as an AmEx AU, and it's so nice (but expensive) to see the count going up by 4 per day. Should be able to get all of mine B* this month (fingers crossed!)
  7. Aaaaaaannnnnddd....... .....I win.
  8. Okay, so, last month I went into full-stupid-ahead mode and was so excited seeing WFNNB giving me shopping preapprovals that I took them up on their offer. Well...offers. A few....offers. Yeah. Anyway. My AAOA was already not stellar, and I think that's hurting my account. I'm wondering, since I have never used these accounts, if maybe WFNNB would close/cancel/delete 2 of the accounts for me. I know never dispute a positive tradeline, I'm talking about contacting WFNNB directly. Closing those 2 accounts would help my AAOA immensely, and I don't think seeing 2 $250 credit lines on my report is going to really WOW any potential creditors, so I think my report could stand to lose them. Thoughts? And yes, I know, I should never have gotten the accounts in the first place. Never get an account you're not going to use, and all. But I'm blaming it on the wine and the giddiness of seeing "you're preapproved!" for the first time in, well, a while. ada
  9. That charlatan should be ashamed of herself. She is, she is. I've fixed my spreadsheet now, and I'll haunt this thread more diligently.
  10. Did you miss any pulls or did you get all 3 in everyday? Nah, I missed a couple (stupid vacation, haha). I wasn't worried about it because I hoped I still had a few days. The version of the spreadsheet I'm using had the 16th as the estimated date for CA. Not sure if EQ surprised us or I'm using an outdated sheet. Either way, I just added EIDT and will have the ability to do CS in a few days, so I'm going to work on knocking everything out as fast as possible.
  11. What state? I'm cutting things very close; I should hit 86 on Thursday. And be chopped Friday or Saturday. For me, C* in CA today.
  12. GRRRRRRRRRRRRR! What's that you say? You've got 82 good softs? No you don't, you've got 19. Have a nice day, and go f*** yourself. Love, Equifax.
  13. Deleted! And, because today is a day when things conspire to irritate me, my score actually went DOWN. I'm sure you can put 2 and 2 together and realize this was a BK that deleted off my record, and I realize it is a crapshoot as to whether your score goes up or down once you're out of the BK scoring pool and into the regular scoring pool. I was hoping my positive tradelines would be enough to make it go up, but I've had bad luck with several zombie debts that keep popping back up (and my AAOA is down due to some recent adds as AU on a few awesome cards that my fiancee acquired). The zombie debts should all be deleted off soon, though, and hopefully I'll see a jump then. Bleh.
  14. Here's hoping! He said 72 hours to have it gone, but it's one of those "believe it when I see it" things I guess.
  15. Thanks! The guy is really helpful, he said it should have deleted and he "sent it back to have it removed'. It generated a confirmation number like a dispute but he said it was not a re-dispute, just an internal thing for them to process.
