  1. To the post above I just wanted to clarify what I have left and where I stand on them. Experian Escallate (33153***)- deleted from CRA report 7/9/2012. However,Escallate responded with above mentioned items in previous post. Franklin Collection Services (1017*****)- Still on CR as of7/9/12 following second HIPPA letter with copy of receipt from the CA. Still noresponse from Franklin about this account, so I am sending another letter toCRA disputing this account on 07/22/2012. Transunion Escallate (3315****)- Deleted 06/01/2012 Sameissue as above with Escallate. North American Credit Services (12367****)- Deleted 06/01/2012 North American Credit Services (12366****) Deleted 06/01/2012 North American Credit Services (291218****)- Still on report.Sent out Pre-hippa letter, but forgot to include it in the second HIPPA letter.Will mail DV letter to CA on 7/10/2012. Waiting on reply. Franklin Collection Services (101795***) Forgot to includein original pre-HIPPA letter. But got mixed up and included it in the 2ndHIPPA letter. Still on report. Equifax Franklin Collection Services (1017****)- 06/05/2012 afterpre-hippa letter came back verified. Suburban Credit Corporation (1100****)- 06/05/2012 afterpre-hippa letter came back verified. 07/09/2012suburban replied verifying the debt and including a copy of my medicalstatement from the original creditor. North American Credit Services (1236****)- 06/05/2012 afterpre-hippa letter came back verified. 07/09/2012replied saying they could not validate and they closed the account. They saidthey would send a request for deletion to any CRAs.   2. Whychat- Just clarify.. the two TLs on my Eq. report that acknowledged they could not verify and said they would have them removed, I should send that dispute letter to the CRAs? I am sending out another DV letter to Ex, per your advice. Now I don't know what to do with this that I got in the mail. Escallate, which was on two of my reports sent me an attempt to collect. Their letter said "Please be advised we have contacted our client, Solarus Medical, who has confirmed the name and address listed on the account as well as the amount owed. Based on our investigation of your dispute, is is our position we have identified you as the correct consumer for this account." And so on. It then includes an itemized list of charges, activity description, a intake form with my signature, my id and insurance card. The thing is the CRAs deleted it from my reports. What do I do about the CA? I also go a responce from Suburban Credit Corp. saying they "have contacted our client, Emergency Medical Specialists, who have confirmed the name and address listed on the account as well as the amount owen. " They included a general fee statement. What do I do about this? This account is still appearing on my CR. Thank you in advance!
  3. I have been making payments to the hospital to pay off a balance I have with them. Today I got a letter from West Asset Management trying to collect on the same debt. I never got a letter from the hospital saying they were going to send it to a CA. What do I do about West Asset and should I continue paying the hospital bill to the hospital?
  4. I got some mail today, this is where I am. Experian replied and deleted one of the accounts. The other (Franklin Collection Services) was not mentioned. I checked tonight and it was still on my report. I also have not heard back from Franklin regaurding the letter I sent out to the CAs. What is my next step? I heard back from two CAs on my Equifax report though. They said that they could not validate my account and were going to put in a request for deletion from any reporting CRAs. It only appears on my Equifax report, do I need to send Equifax anything to have it removed myself?
  5. Today I got my last green card in the mail and tonight I am typing up the part two letters to the CRA's and including a copy of the letter I mailed to the CA and a copy of the green card. I will send those out tomorrow morning. What's my next step after I mail them out?
  6. Nevermind. I think I figured it out. I'm sending out the first letter that why chat posted earlier and waiting for my reciept. Once I get it I will send the CRAs the second letter.
  7. **BUMP** I still don't know what to do about the previous post. I also got a responce back from Experian today. It's a long letter saying something to the effect of "We have laready investigated this information and the credit grantor has verified its accuracy....... Unless I supply relevant information to support my claim we will not investigate this infomation again..." Then it only lists one of the accounts I sent in my pre-hippa letter. What the heck does this crap mean?
  8. Ugh! So i got my response from equifax today. They just verfied that the accounts were mine. On all the TLs I disputed using the pre-HIPPA letter they said "We have researched the collection account. The results are: we verified that this item belongs to you. If you have additional questions about this item please contact... (the JDC)" Now what do I do?
  9. I have a bill from from a JDC, Balanced Healthcare Receivables. It isn't showing up on any of my reports and when I received it I DV'ed it because it was within the original 30 days. The responded after the 30 days saying "Enclosed please find copies of itemized bills that you requested. Please call us at your earliest convenience to discuss." They then enclosed a copy of my bill from my OC. This is not validation, correct? It doesn't prove I own THEM them money. I'm posting because I'm not sure if I just send out another DV letter saying you didn't validate, or if there is anything I can do. Advise please?
  10. I have gotten two replies, one from Transunion and one from Experian. Experian told me that my request was suspicious and that they were not going to look into it. I did some searching and I found a letter Why Chat suggested. I sent out the letter, a copy of my ID and SSC and a utility. I am waiting to hear back from them. Transunion on the other hand deleted 3 out of my 4 accounts. Under the results for the account they did not delete is says "New information added." I, however, don't see the new information that was added. The only thing that changed was the date verfied. What do I do about this? Lastly, today in the mail I received two letters from NCAS (2 of the accounts deleted from TU) saying: "We have recently responded to your inquiry through the Credit Bureau dispute process. We have confirmed the account information owned as required by law. You may settle this account by contacting our office. We will then report this as paid item which helps you have a more favorable Score." It then goes on to tell me how to pay and to whom to make the check out to. What do I do about these? They were deleted from TU, but they are still trying to collect. I'm confused.

  12. I got a letter from Merchants Association Collection Division saying I owed them for an old FPL account. I DV'ed within the 30 days and I just got their responce letter back. I have no idea what this means. Dear Sir or Madam: In response to your request concerning an account that is listed on your credit file by MCAS collection Services, please provide the following: Please provide a copy of the credit report that is showing the MACD collection service account. Showing the 14 digit account number Your full name Social Secruity Number Date of Birth Current address and phone number To whom the debt is owned We will notify all three credit bureaus that the above reference account is to be DELETED from your credit bureau file. MACD Collection Service is unable to delete the account from the credit bureaus without the information listed above. You may however write to the Credit Bureaus directly and dispute the item or items by stating "Merchant unable to locate account." So I am guessing is that this means I will no longer hear anything from them? This isn't listed on my report, so I don't need to contact the CRAs.. Im assuming this is a round about way of say "Sh*t you caught us." Right?
  13. I just wanted to start a thread to keep track of my HIPPA process for mine and my partners medical collections. 1. Opted out 2. Deleted old addresses and name variations 3. Triaged my report. Divided my items into two catagories; medical and non-medical. 4. Typed out the pre-HIPPA letter according to why chats method to medical collections. Mailing it out 5/23/2012 (I hope that I'm doing this part right, some are past the 4 year SOL, but others aren't. I tried searching for what to do if it's under 4 years, but didn't have much luck) Now I wait. Let's see what they say.
  14. Hey everyone! I have a few questions as to what my next step should be. I have already opted out and deleted addresses as well as spent hours upon hours on reading the different methods. I have both medical and non-medical items on my report. I know you can't use the "jack attack" method and the "hippa" method in the same letters. So I was wondering which one should I start with? Or could I send out two different letters, one addressing the medical stuff and one addressing the non-medical? Any insight is greatly appreciated!
