Anyone know if a Wells Fargo biz credit card reports to personal?
zabadaba replied to jlp58's topic in Credit Forum
I remember having one of those almost 5 years ago. They don't show up on your personal credit report but only shows up if you defaulted or BK this card. Hope this helps. -
NFCU, anyone ever had membership rejected based on credit pull alone?
zabadaba replied to me_jo's topic in Credit Forum
NFCU has been good to my family as far as membership goes. Right now they have a promotion of $25.00 to the existing member and the new member. We were able to take advantage of the promotion and build a really good savings account. I really thought that I was going to be denied a savings account because of my transunion credit score at 525, 4 bads in chexsystems report, and 4 bads in Early Warning services. When I opened my savings account the representative advised that I open a checking account since they already pulled my credit report. I was kind of skeptical and afraid of a denial but once the representative confirmed that they wouldn't use the chexsystems or EWS report I went ahead and applied for a checking account and was instantly approved with 5 personal checks under my name. I was surprised that I was able to accomplish this because I'm currently in the process of a bankruptcy with at least 10 or more collections on my account. Hope that my experience will help you decide on opening your account. Good luck to you! -
Yes, USAA denied my brother due to EWS when he tried to open a saving account earlier this year. Ron. Ron Thank you for saving a denial for me. I'll definitely put the application for the Savings account on hold until my EWS clears from my record. I believe I have 2 more years until it falls off anyways

Hello everyone. I was searching thru all the threads and couldn't find any information about strategically increasing the credit line on a secured credit card. I was wondering if there were any threads or links I can check . The reason I'm searching for this topic is because I've heard from one of my bankers that it wouldn't be smart to increase your credit line until i've had the card for 1 year because It will affect my credit score. For someone in my situation I can only place $250.00 on a secured credit card and over a couple of months I can slowy place $50.00 - $100.00 to my account. Is there a reason why i should wait once a year? Or will my credit score be affected? I'm already in the score range of 490 - 510 can it get even worse? The whole plan for this card is to use for bi-weekly gas fill ups on my car and pay for everyday expenses such as lunch, dinner, diapers, groceries, etc.. I'll be treating this card as a net 30 account and will be paid off before the 25 day grace period is up. Thanks everyone for your feedback and responses.

Morning Everyone I was planning on opening a savings account with USAA and had a question about apping for the savings. I heard that USAA will close your account after opening If you're in EWS. Is this only for the checking account or for checking and savings account? The reason I ask is because I used to have accounts with Wells Fargo and they reported me over 5 years ago. Thank you all for your responses.

Navy pulled Transunion for me. I have two charge offs, a repossession, one medical collection, and a public record from the repossession on my credit report. I called and applied and was approved with a $1,000 deposit. I applied for the regular nRewards Visa after having the card for two months and I was approved with a $3,000 limit. During those two months I had the secured card, I charged more than $5,000 dollars and paid in full. When I was approved they asked me if I wanted to keep my secured card open and I said yes. My advice is to go for it! Thank you for the great advice. I'll definitely app for this card and will let you know how that goes right after my BK is discharged.

Hello. First I would like to say thank you creditboards for helping me see the light at the end of the tunnel. I'm a newbie here and haven't really posted anything on this site until now. I was wondering if any of you had any luck applying for a NFCU secured credit card with bad credit? The reason I ask is because I wanted to app for this card and not get denied or waste a eq hard pull. My eq score is 491 and was from the USAA credit monitoring. Thank you for your responses.

MCA No I wasn't able to get a savings ATM card because I was in chexsystems but still managed to keep the savings account open. Another great feature they offer when opening an account is doing remote transfers to checking / savings account to external accounts. Unlike Nfcu where you can only transfer funds to external checking accounts only. I use this as a secondary CU just in case it doesn't work out with the others.

This credit union will close your checking account if you're reported in Chexsystems after debit card has been issued. Tried recon and possibly signing up for their new solutions checking account that will charge $5.00 a month and still got denied. The bad part of it too is they will pull another Chexsystems report when you call them up. I'm so glad that I'm with Navy Federal Credit Union. They didn't give me hard time opening a checking account with them.

It doesn't look like the COE shows any previous loans. Not sure why it doesn't show up. I remember the first time I used the VA Loan the box listed as prior loans charged to entitlement. there was $36,000 in one of the fields. I guess I slipped thru the cracks but will find out when I app for the VA Loan when the foreclosure shows up on my credit report. Thank you for all your help and maybe we can do business in the future when I'm ready to apply for a VA Home loan again.

I forgot to add that they do not check chexsystems when opening a savings account online. They will only verify with Chexsystems when you app for their savings debit card and opening a checking account.

Morning I'm a newbie here and have a couple of questions about possibly getting a VA Homeloan after a Foreclosure . I currently have a foreclosure on a VA Home loan back in 2009 that I could no longer afford. I went to the website https://ebenefits.va.gov and was able to receive another COE (Certificate of Eligibility) nothing on the COE states that I have a foreclosure and is eligible to apply for another VA Loan. Am I reading the certificate wrong? Or am I eligible to use this type of loan again? Thank you for all your responses. Creditboards have been really helpful on my journey to rebuilding my credit report.

Morning I was also able open a savings account with SFFEDCU with no chexsystems in 2 hours. Their online banking is really fast in responding to opening accounts.

Morning I'm a newbie here and have been a longtime lurker. I just wanted to post that NFCU is a great bank to work with. They did not pull my chexsystems and ews. They ended up pulling my transunion credit report and was able to approve my accounts. Thanks creditboards for giving me all the useful information here. I can't wait to rebuild my credit report after my bk is discharged.
