Honestly i think some people are too obsessed with the credit score itself. Some lenders these days will decline to lend even with a good credit score just based on history. It says nothing on your credit reports about paying before statements come out. It's a pointless exercise. And if you are that obsessed about getting new credit.. IDK .. that's a problem in and of itself

Did you make a large payment on any of your credit cards that may have been near their limit?
-
Yeah I find it pointless too ..

"This letter is being sent to you in response to your recent fraudulent verification of an unknown medical account on my (name of CRA) report" is all i need and not specific account numbers, right?
-
Alright .. so got everything back. Fairly successful on transunion side with quite a few deletion... TU 9 deletions.. Experian 2.. equifax 2. but theres an issue with Accounts Recovery Bureau. I'm stuck with seven deletions from Accounts Recovery Bureau on TU that weren't taken off Equifax (never was on EX). There still are some that remain on both (the larger ones, go figure lol). I'm worried that if I now go to the next step in the process ARB may try to reinsert. What do i do here.. just mail ARB the two seperate DVs (one for each CRA) and hope for the best?

Wright Express just called me, let me know the Pep Boys Fleet Card I applied for went through with a $500 limit! Nice to know I'm starting somewhere with the business. With my personal credit the way it is, it has been tough, but this was welcome news. No more paying for gas for trips before I get the money from a client for the work (typically about 30 days out). That is really nice. I was tired of using my own funds to pay for the gas for these trips, and its nice to have an emergency card for repairs if the car breaks down. Definitely excited!

Why is the CA telling us to make our checks out to the original bank?

Well... since you're paying the OC.. the CA really has a harder time justifying listing it on your credit report. It's much easier to get these off your CR since they never really take the money but act as a passthrough instead -

that means they're assigned the debt. If they owned the debt you'd pay the CA directly. This also means you have leverage to get the CA collection off since they dont own the debt itself. -
nm u were right.

Soo.. i was just looking at my credit reports. And there's my old pac sun card.. reporting on all three credit bureaus as still "open" with a $150 limit. now it hasn't reported since April 2009. What would happen if I started using this card again. would i get a credit score bump? I mean would they fill in those empty months? I have one 30 day late back in November of 2008 (gah, now i wanna goodwill that heh!) and the acct was opened 1/2008. i'm guessing this would help if i can use the card and it would become a "long term" positive tradeline? thoughts?
