  1. For those of you who have had success calling EX and EQ, what time zone are you in? I'm curious.
  2. How long from the time you submitted it online to the time they gave you the results showing they deleted the TL?
  3. Just submitted the last two on EQ online using no longer liable/obsolete. We'll see what happens.
  4. So I called EX twice and both agents told me they could not remove the three chage-offs TU already deleted. They said that because they already calculate the removal 3 months before the 7 years (so 6yr, 9mo) they could not take it off as it would be sooner than the 6yr, 9mo mark. Not sure what to believe. The two major COs are supposed to come off by end of May and one small one mid-september. The one scheduled to come off mid-september is not showing in EQ so I'm not too worried as the other two will come off both EX and EQ at around the same time leaving only that one CO in EX until mid-september. What do you guys think? I'm holding off mortgage shopping because of this, any ideas on whether I should continue to pursue this or just wait it out?
  5. I have two in EX that are scheduled to come off Mid-may and one that doesn't list a time, though DOLA and DOFD should be around the same time frame, May/June. Should I call or do it online for all three?
  6. Been following the thread closely and decided to take the leap with TU. I submitted for removal of my only negatives, 3 COs due to fall off between now and September. I submitted the dispute Friday night, checked MPM just now and they're all gone from TU. My only concern now is that one of them was a USAA CO and they have been updating it monthly without fail for all these years, so I'm guessing they'll put it back on next month. I'll probably have to call them or write to them and talk about it with them. Next is EX! We'll see what happens. Should I do online with EX or call until I get someone who's wiling to delete?
  7. Interesting. The ones I have are all scheduled to fall off within the next three months consecutively. Think it'd be a good idea to try and dispute them as obsolete? I'm in the market for a house, but I understand it is what it is.
  8. oh gotcha, yeah it was online. I looked at my paper reports and it showed status as CHARGE-OFF. Do OCs usually wait until 7 years +1 day to delete the entry or does it depend?
  9. How can Equifax show all charge-offs as open? By definition charged-off accounts cannot be used and therefore cannot possibly be Open. All my research shows this is a normal thing for Equifax, but I'm not sure how everyone is OK with. TU and EX do not show them as Open.
  10. Update: I'll be dropping off the CRA investigation letters tomorrow as per WhyChat's Credit Confusion. I'll keep everyone posted!
  11. Will do mizliz1011! Thanks. So far I'm looking at old CRs (from back in april) for anomalies, but either way I'll have to confirm any anomalies when the new reports come in. In a perfect world the OC just won't respond and all the TLs will be deleted. We'll see I guess. I still have one nagging question. Why did they start reporting the past due balance every month (which increased every month) after the account had been charged off for 2 1/2 years? Is that even legal?
  12. Hi WhyChat!! Thanks for the response! I've opted out before and I plan to DV with the CRAs The initial dispute letter to the CRAs is NOT the same as a DV: http://whychat.5u.com/initdispltrsol.html before I contact the OC I'm just waiting for my reports. I've just never done a 623 or anything else with an OC so I'm looking for experiences or pointers that will make this as effective as possible. I feel like I have a lot of ammo to get this off but I'm not sure. Thanks again! Thanks!

  14. As I continue research on this I find that this tradeline seems more and more sketchy. Here is why: That is the snapshot of the tradeline from a TU report I got on 4/2014. As I understand it the charge-off date is 01/2009 and DOFD is 07/2008 (correct me if I'm wrong please). However, I don't understand why ever since 10/2011 this bank has chosen to update the past due amount every month to this date. Especially in light of the fact that they told me they got rid of the account and couldn't even access it on their systems a couple of months ago (I called their "charge-offs" department.) I'll be able to re-confirm all of this with more updated info when my paper reports come in this week, but I want to be ready. Has anyone seen this before? Being in California I know that no matter how you slice it the tradeline is beyond SOL (4years) and per TU it is scheduled to come off 06/2015. However, if it is at all a possibility I want this off like yesterday. What is this? are they re-aging? Would a CRA dispute followed by a 623 suffice?
