  1. I got it too. They sent it to anyone who has given them their email address.
  2. Seriously? It's a 1.1% cashback card, not a 11% cashback card. It depends on how much spend. By leaving the $1500 in the checking account, you are foregoing $1.25/mo in interest in a 1% savings account. No need for the rudeness. The email I got was very confusing. But now I understand what it is. I thought it sounded strange. I'm just trying to save as much money as I can. I'm in college, and wanting to do the best that I can. I've had CD's and other investments since I was 18, so I was just trying to see which would be the better option.
  3. I only got an address. I just thought since according to their records, I wasn't 18, I couldn't legally sign a contract allowing them to pull my report. I'll check my reports and see what they say. The card is pretty much worthless now, so if they did pull, I might ask them to delete if that is possible.
  4. It was Lane Bryant (I needed Bras). If they did pull, can I make them remove the pull?
  5. This is very confusing, so please be kind. I was applying for a store card, and the associate entered all my information from my drivers license. It promoted her to call customer service, where they asked her to confirm my address and everything. I was shocked when they said denied. When I got the letter in the mail, they said they couldn't legally extend credit to me since I wasn't 18 (I am 21). So it appears the associate entered my birthday wrong. Does this mean they couldn't pull a hard? It hasn't shown up on creditkarma.com.
  6. So is it just 10% increase on the bonus points, say if I earn $100, I will get an extra $10, or is it 10% extra on the $10,000 I spent to get the $100, therefore giving me $1100? I'm debating on if its worth it to really keep my chase checking account. I never use it, but I'd rather put the money in a CD.
  7. I opened up a chase freedom, and saw an email that said if you had a checking account with them, you got an additional 10% back. I just have a basic checking, so as long as I keep that, and my card open til the end of the year, so I automatically earn the extra 10%?
  8. I just received a letter from a collection agency saying that I failed to return a textbook and owe money. First, I returned all of my books. Contacted the rental company, they said I did return all books. Then they go "One of them had stains and you need to follow the collection agency" 1. The collection agency is trying to collect on a unreturned book, not a damaged book 2. The rental company never tried to ask me to pay for damaged book 3. Can I ask for proof?
  9. I had a similar experience, although my debt was from right after I had turned 18. They kept sending bills and bills, but I knew my mom had paid it ages ago, and she was who was in charge of paying the bill anyways since my insurance is through her. She ended up finding her old check stub showing she had paid the ER, but I ended up not needing it as they deleted it asap!
  10. I currently have a Capital One Plat card that I never use because it doesn't offer any rewards. I just got an email offering me an upgrade to the Cash Rewards. It says I will keep the same terms I have, as well as the same card #. Does this mean it will appear on my credit report as the same account I currently have? Its my oldest card by far, and I don't want it to appear closed.
  11. Student Income <4000 CL11550
  12. I'm a year older and started building my credit about two years ago with a Maurices student card. I, after two years of not really trying have whats in my signiture.
  13. ok! How long until Credit Karma starts bumping off those TU pulls? I don't have any big worry for a few years (except maybe buying a car, but I have cash for that).
  14. Also, according to my quizzle pull, besides these, I have to others (set to fall off this year). Does quizzle show all pulls?
  15. I was reading how they don't effect your score after a year, but don't fall off for two. Which matters when applying for credit? I have the following ones on my TU report. Discover 02/20/2012, 11/29/2010 Apartment 11/29/2011 Banana Republic 06/18/2011 Chase 05/11/2011, 06/14/2010 Capital One 09/14/2010 So I"m set to have the Chase fall off in twoish months if I"m correct, then capital one in the fall, and finally Discover in November? Also, I've been using Credit Karma daily for a few weeks, and before that a few times a week. Does that mean some of these should start to fall off soon?
