  1. It's 21%, owe 2900 on it but can pay it off in 5 months but I can also save on internet. NFCU has their basic card with 0 percent bt for 12 months but 0 rewards. Was looking for a good card to add to my portfolio again and no carry a crap one.
  2. Looking to balance transfer around 3k. Current FICO is 728 3 years post chapter 7. Discover was IIB during that along with USAA. Current cards are SDFCU, Capital One, Target, and one 50k auto loan. Excellent payment history last 3 years and utilization is 0 on all but one card that was used for emergency home repairs which is at 78% until but overall until is 12%.
  3. The family has grown, and we can no longer fit inside the SUV. Suppose you were to have a vehicle financed through Toyota and have a stellar payment history with them. Does that help when you purchase another Toyota/Lexus through Toyota Financial Services? I was at the dealer the other day looking and got instant approval and payoff sight unseen since they have access to all my car records through TFS. My FICO is still 705-710, 2.8 years post Chapter 11, and my concern is that chapter 11 will scare away my credit union and some potential lenders as there is a rash of repossessions right now. I have low utilization on all credit cards and have paid more than the minimum ($715) for the past two years. Just curious if it's a good idea to test the waters by continuing to finance a Toyota/Lexus through TFS. I got a pretty good rate (less than 4.0%, less than banks are offering now) through Toyota/Lexus in April 2021. I will be trading in the Lexus for a mid-size Toyota SUV. The cost of the new SUV is around $50k, which I financed when we got the Lexus last year, and I will not lose anything on the trade and will get the pre-paid maintenance and GAP refunded. Or would I be better off spending the time shopping around? I was looking at Chevy Suvs, but the dealer markup and rates are not worth it at this now
  4. Looking for some perspective on leasing vs purchasing a 2023 Sequoia. I haven't seen any lease info on their lease program. Looking at models we want the seem to run from 65-68k right now. With 5k down that's still a hefty $900 month payment. Leasing other brands for that with around 6k down gets you 12k miles a year for 3 years around 450-500 depending on the brand. When we purchased our Lexus the salesman and the F&I guy really wanted us to get a lease instead of a loan. They told me 85% of their business is leases. I don't know how I feel about a lease with 3 kids ages 13 and under.
  5. So I'm 2.7 years post CH7 Bankruptcy. FICO scores are around 715ish. I recently got an Ashley furniture account at 0% for 12 months, and have essentially paid it off my purchase in 3 months. They gave me a 10k limit with TD Bank and 3k with Synchrony since they somehow apped both lenders off one application. Id like to close the Synchrony account as I don't use it and it has a low limit, but was wondering if closing an account within 4 months of opening it is a bad look? I recently closed my piddly Credit One account as it was my lowest card with a 1k limit, but it also had my longest age of just over 2 years. My profile is below: balances arent carried over, just posted my monthly spend on them this month, I always PIF on all but the furniture. AU on Target (6 year history $0/7k), SDFCU $4/2k (2years), Capital One (1.5 years) $500/4.5k, Costco (3 months) $400/2.5k, TD Bank Ashley (3 months) $1k/10k, Ashley Synchrony (3 months) $0/3k.
  6. SDFCU graduated at 1 years and increased credit limit to 2k.
  7. What lender are you using for a VA loan? I’d assume you meet the 620 FICO score for a VA loan? Is your debt to income less than 41%? How much are the car payments on each? Places like veterans united can look at a Experian report you send to them and tel you what you are looking at before you do a hard pull. I believe it’s called their lighthouse program. you can also ask for up to 4% in seller concessions to pay off debt when you close.
  8. Chase and Citi have turned there’s off as well.
  9. Yes. Don’t receive anything good. Just crap from Mercury Fingerhut and some other crap lenders.
  10. It’s just finding a card that will approve less than 2 years post discharge.
  11. Capitalone said my account is two new to request a CLI. Letter is in the mail to Credit One to close the card. What should I look at next?
  12. IIB Discover, PenFed, NFCU, Synchrony, USAA. I think I was Chase blacklisted in the 2008 recession for a small balance of $300.
  13. Just hit 19 months post CH7 discharge and all 3 reports and FICO are over 700. I have the following credit cards and loans. Cap 1 $0/3300 7 Months SDFCU Secured $0/1000 13 Months Credit One $0/500 13 Months BMW Auto Loan $46k/40k remaining (make 1.5 the monthly payments each month. Local credit union personal loan for $6k with the proceeds just sitting in a savings account to add to my thin file. What is really hurting my scores is AAoA and the CH7 as a derogatory. I know I should have 5 cards but I’m apprehensive about apply for cards right now being a low AAoA, and burning Discover, PenFed, USAA and Cap 1 with the BK. Income is $100k per year. I want to get rid of Credit One as it was the only thing I could get outside of the SDFCU secured. Credit One was the only issuer that early after discharge to get some positive trade lines. However, they refuse to increase CL and the rate at 23%, which is the worst I’ve had. I thought Cap 1 would potentially auto CLI after the 6th statement but that didn’t happen. I could hit the request CLI button in the App I suppose. SDFCU has told me they aren’t not graduating their secured cards at this time. Any insight into what I should be doing to move forward along this journey would be awesome.
  14. From the time my Chapter 7 was filed all of my accounts were listed as “Chapter 7 Bankruptcy” and the payment history was blank. Yesterday I got an alert of a change to my credit report on Experian and one of those CC accounts now shows full payment history with CO and 120 day lates. How should I approach this? I haven’t made any disputes and was just humming along on rebuilding my credit.
  15. I have been denied cards while rebuilding for the reason of poor credit history with xxxxxxx. I got Capital One off with a random dispute of not my account and then as soon as it came off the report I was able to get a quick silver card.
