I loved the app...used to keep an eye on all my accounts and documents. I can't imagine they were making much money though...hardly any advertising or whatnot.

Online it says they are still in deferment and the site won't tell me what my repayment is. The CSR also says my due date would be the 26th, but I have no bill online or in the mail. All Fedloans will tell me is to wait until they finish the IBR. I do have a sheet that breaks up each of my loans, gives the amounts and interest rates, and then an capped amount for each one. But no totalled amount or explanation. Just numbers.

My student loans are just going into Repayment since I graduated school after the 6 month grace period and a 6 month deferment while I found a decent job. I have two different servicers and balances. One is about 11k (Sallie Mae) and the other around 33k (Fedloans). My standard repayment for the11k was $114 a month, which dropped to $40 a month after applying for IBR. That's fine. My issue is the one with Fedloans...when my loans were initially going into Repayment, the 33k was with another servicer and the payments were set to be around $300 a month which seemed to make sense on a 10 year plan. After it was moved to Fedloans, it skyrocketed to $845 accroding to them. I only know this because I called them. I've tried every calculator I could google trying to understand how a 33k loan that was $300 month turns into $845! The servicer sent me repayment sheet but it doesn't explain the numbers or calculation. So I'm worried there is an error or calculation that's not right.

Starting the HIPAA Process!

As of today it's been pulled from my reports and I'm hoping it stays that way. I filed the BBB dispute in hopes of getting the dentist's attention in this matter since she wasn't responding to anything else. I personally think the new office staff cashed my money order but the dentist doesn't seem to be concerned about the payment. I'll try to track and see. Thanks again Why Chat for all your help in this. I would've probably just given up and paid the CA if I hadn't come here. I'm so glad to have made some progress because I'm looking into getting a new place and car this year. -

Updating. I filed a complaint with the BBB some month ago against the dentistry. They managed to file it against the dentist who responded insulted by my HIPAA letter I had sent to her mailbox and claimed I had "threatened" her with defamation and false allegations. However, the BBB posted her entire email in the response. I emailed the dentist directly explaining my situation and that I never knew of this debt. She responded that she was having the collection recall the debt and pull it from my reports. So I am hoping this will finally disappear! I don't think she ever received the money order, but I'm guessing I should leave the matter alone as of now. -

Just to update, still no response. The office is still crying that everything should be sent to the old dentist. I'm trying to see...is there anything I can file against the dentist? -

One of my courtesy letters came back (the one for the dentist office) and no response from the others. It's quite frustrating, especially since I did indeed end up paying the money owed. I'm going to go ahead and file my complaints now. Also complaining about the CRAs. Is there anything more I can do? -
Thank you. They just told me to have the dealer fax over the car info. I called and ask and the rep said it didn't matter if it was new or used...I'll see if I can pick up the official paperwork terms next week when they open back up.

I applied for a loan at my local credit union. I was asked to describe the car I was going to purchase. I was orginally looking at a new 2013 Elantra, but I wasn't decided and I'm looking at both new and used. If I decide on a used car, would I have to reapply or would my rate change? The bank approved me at 2.9% for 60 months for the new car. I'm afraid if I pick a used car they'll run my credit again. I'm also afraid of having to go with another lender as their rate is good and they pulled Transunion (the only report that is clean. Still working on the other two.)

How do I go about making sure I file the proper complaints? I'm about to send the hippa courtesy letter to the office and I suppose the dentist as well. I'll have to resend the letter to dentist as well since I haven't gotten any tracking updates since I sent it. I'm sure the office will still cry that they have no account info, so I'm preparing for further action. -
I have a discover card and they gave me a $1000 limit back in 2007. Since then I've gotten one increase...$750 when I graduated college. They confirmed my graduation date shortly before so I know that's the reason why. Other than that..no luck. I have started the using the card more so I'm hoping it matters.

I found an address there for her...but I'm not sure if she's still living there. I assume I should send the OC letter there as well in case she is. Added: I see it's been updated...there is a new OOS address that I'm hoping is hers! -

I've very much been trying to locate her. She's still licensed, but she's no longer living in the state. I've searched all over and also databases (including one powered by LexisNexis specifically for locating people and addresses) and still...nothing. The office won't give me her info either, but it doesn't seem like she's still practicing. Her name still come up connected to the current office but she's definitely not there. It seems to me that office is trying to act as if they have no involvement, but if I have to go into filing complaints or court...they'd be on the receiving end. My money order was not made out to the dentist nor was my letter...it was made out to the office and it was cashed. -

As of today, the office finally received my followup letter. The current dentist at the office left a VM saying that they didn't have any of the prior dentist's files, account info, etc..and she was once again going to forward the letter to the previous dentist. I'm not sure what to do with that information. The CA has also not responded my 2nd request for validation. -

I'm just going to retrace my steps here... October 2011- Last visit at dentist June 2012- Collections showed up, sent original HIPAA letters disputing account to CRAs July 2012: All came back verified September 2012: Sent Money Order and HIPAA Letter to OC for owed amounts per insurance November 2012: Money order was cashed. OC claims to have sent money order to previous dentist. Sent DV to CA certfied....received no response. December 2012: Sent 2nd Dispute Letters to CRAs January 2012: Transuion deleted account....Equifax verified....Experian refused to investigate.... So...that's where I am in the process. I see where Whychat told me to send a DV to the CA's...I'm going to do that again as I assume it can't hurt. They'll probably trash it again. I've also tried speaking with the office again as even though they said they sent the Money Order to the dentist, they are the ones listed on my report and it was made out to them. As mentioned, I did see a followup letter to the OC that I will also send. I don't think it's fair that neither the office wants nothing from me (but another visit) and the CA hasn't proven a thing but the CRA's are saying "Verified". Verified how, because they said so? I just don't understand the process and how this is fair to people as consumers.
