  1. I disputed an old HSBC CO account last week and it was deleted from TU and EQ. It wasn't reporting on EX.
  2. They do back date. I have done it before with AMEX, CAP1, and GM Financial. I have also goodwill'd using SCRA back dating with orders showing proof of deployments of said periods and trade lines were corrected and/or deleted (CO).
  3. I appreciate the input but debating cars on a credit board is pointless. I'm sure if I bought a Piper I'd lemonade off some of the Cessna boys. People purchase what they want. I'll see what USAA has to offer since I have my auto insurance through them and have also bought diamonds from them.
  4. I found a 2013 with 20k miles and warranty for $76k in the central Florida so I'll keep you guys posted. I will go take a look at after the holiday weekend. I'm going to see what DCU can do for me. I don't think NFCU can beat their rates.
  5. So that's why..,
  6. Thanks. I was wondering if how it would look being it is a second car and and with a higher than average sale price .

  8. DOFD was in 1/2009. I was just seeing if there were other possibilities since it appears that I am not blacklisted and they let me back into their exclusive tree house. I'll just try different things and see what the outcome will be. I've read others with AMEX COs were lucky to have their TLs abducted by aliens after paying them.
  9. First off, thank you for the valuable info this community offers. I own my home because of it! Now let's move forward with this issue. Back in 2007 I opened a AMEX Blue cash card. I defualted on it and it was charged off due to a deployment. I paid the outstanding CO amount of $2000+ back in sping of 2012 to boost my FICOs for to get a mortgage. I tried writing them a GW letter to remove the CO but their response was "This unsatisfactory status will remain on your credit". After paying them I received a refund check for around $800 because I used the Servicemembers Civil Relief Act and they credited me some cash back I guess. Now let's fast forward to a couple weeks ago. I said its time for an app spree. I closed on a VA loan in June of 2012, been up-to-date with all payments, removed the least stubborn baddies I had on my reports, and my credit now sits at 701TU, 692EX, 682EQ all FICOs. I bit the bullet and applied for an AMEX Platinum (income being in the $130K range with low debts.). I was instantly approved and it shows my member since date of 2007 under my account manager. Now with that being said, I would like to remove the AMEX CO still on my CRs. I have been searching for a plan of attack either by using the online chat, calling, writing a letter, or straight up disputing. I never disputed through the CRAs. Any suggestions before I commit?
  10. Thanks! I'm loving life right now!
  11. You could also get your certificate of eligibility online with a few days by utilizing the VA's online application portal.
  12. There is a place for it on the loan application but I don't think you have to apply jointly unless you want to count his income.
  13. I just closed on a VA loan this past Friday. I had a CO that I paid in March for Cap1 and I had to write a LOE explaining what happened. As I was informed by my LO, the UW likes to see 1 year of good credit after any period of bad credit. I also had a repo that reported as a CO that I settled at closing. I had to contact the CA and get it in writing. All the OCs that I had COs with, which includes Cap1, First Premier, and Amex, I contacted earlier this year to pay off because I knew it would increase my score and the likelihood of me getting approved for a VA loan.
  14. Almost $6000 a year. The mortgage itself is $1200 monthly.
