As the title says I'm getting really frustrated with USDoE Loans. They have already been transfered over to MOHELA, believe it or not that's not the frustrating part. The frustrating part is that Direct Loans are still showing late payments that I had never been late on. This is what is showing Student Loan #1 opened 2004 Balance $2123 No neg history account is from rehabbed loan Student Loan #2 2004 $3270 No neg history Student Loan#3 9/2004 $4377 No neg history seems to be repeat of #2 due to same account number Student Loan#4 9/2002 $2282 No neg history Student Loan#5 9/2002 $2303 No neg history seems to be repeat of #4 due to same account number Student Loan#6 9/2000 $1894 No neg history Student Loan #7 9/1999 $1811 No neg history USDoE #1 9/2004 $4000 closed No neg history transfered to another lender account listed above USDoE #2 9/2004 $3500 closed No neg history transfered to another lender account listed above USDoE #3 9/2004 $8000 closed Lates in Error lates transfered to another lender account listed above USDoE #4 9/2002 $1983 closed No neg history transfered to another lender account listed above USDoE #5 9/2002 $2334 closed No neg history transfered to another lender account listed above USDoE #6 9/2002 $5332 closed Lates in Error transfered to another lender account listed above USDoE #7 9/2000 $1896 closed No neg history transfered to another lender account listed above USDoE #8 9/1999 $1787 closed no neg history transfered to another lender account listed above USDoE #9 9/1999 $4437 closed Lates in Error transfered to another lender account listed above I have been attempting to get DoE to fix errors for the past month with no success or response contacted via Fax I also have this reporting though it was rehabbed Sallie Mae Student Loan 4/2002 1 90 day late 7 120 day lates 2 ok 2 120 day lates last lates reported in 2009 Rehabbed into Student Loan #1 in 2012 but still being reported Anyone have any suggestions? I'm running out of ideas and I think these are hindering my credit repair journey.

First I'd like to say thanks for all the advice that I've received from the board. Since finding the board about a year and a half ago I've been able to get several items completely removed from my reports.Second sorry if this post is too long. However, I am getting frustrated with the slow progress that I seem to be getting. I started off with FAKO's around 550's and today Myfico was reporting my score at 675, I know not the greatest. I had decided to give a try on a car loan through USAA for 27k and was denied, called the 1800# and was denied again after further review. I had successfully paid off a car loan at 12k with no lates through USAA. The reasons for denial were: Serious delinquency, and derogatory public record or collection filed Number of accounts with delinquency Time since delinquency is too recent or unknown Insufficient Credit history So although I'm disappointed in the denial I'm more worried about what my future holds. I'm currently in the process(a long one) of applying for my dream job where past credit decisions and present credit will influence the decision on being hired. So I am hoping if I post the information on my report that someone could give advice on what I can do to further clean up my report. So here is what I have on my report Inquires: 2010 1 Credit card approved-$400 limit 2011 4 Credit Cards only 1 approved-$300 limit 1 Mortgage Denied 2012 1 Credit card(secured) Approved-$1000 limit Summary Real Estate=0 Revolving 4 although I only count 3 credit cards with 0 balance Installments=20 $18000 balance half are repeat student loans after being transfered by US Dept of Ed Other=0 Collections=0 Public Record 3/2009 Satisfied Judgement (Midland Financial) $1597 History 10/2007 Dept of Defense $261 DoD continued paying health insurance after I ETS'ed only contact about debt was collection letter then immediately paid University Loan Opened 9/1999 $750 paid off in 2010 didn't know about rehab options at the time University Loan Opened in 3/1999 $1876 paid in 2012 completed rehab shows on TransUnion only Cap One CC Opened 11/2010 $300 limit no balance No neg history Credit One Bank CC Opened 9/2011 $400 limit no balance No neg history Student Loan #1 opened 2004 Balance $2123 No neg history account is from rehabbed loan Student Loan #2 2004 $3270 No neg history Student Loan#3 9/2004 $4377 No neg history seems to be repeat of #2 due to same account number Student Loan#4 9/2002 $2282 No neg history Student Loan#5 9/2002 $2303 No neg history seems to be repeat of #4 due to same account number Student Loan#6 9/2000 $1894 No neg history Student Loan #7 9/1999 $1811 No neg history USDoE #1 9/2004 $4000 closed No neg history transfered to another lender account listed above USDoE #2 9/2004 $3500 closed No neg history transfered to another lender account listed above USDoE #3 9/2004 $8000 closed Lates in Error lates transfered to another lender account listed above USDoE #4 9/2002 $1983 closed No neg history transfered to another lender account listed above USDoE #5 9/2002 $2334 closed No neg history transfered to another lender account listed above USDoE #6 9/2002 $5332 closed Lates in Error transfered to another lender account listed above USDoE #7 9/2000 $1896 closed No neg history transfered to another lender account listed above USDoE #8 9/1999 $1787 closed no neg history transfered to another lender account listed above USDoE #9 9/1999 $4437 closed Lates in Error transfered to another lender account listed above I have been attempting to get DoE to fix errors for the past month with no success or response contacted via Fax USAA Secured CC Opened 2/2012 $1000 limit 0 balance No neg history MilStar CC Opened 5/2002 Closed $500 limit 0 balance No neg history Shell CC Closed 6/1999 $225 limit 0 balance No neg history USAA Auto Loan Closed 4/2007 $12,000 paid no negative history Sallie Mae Student Loan 4/2002 1 90 day late 7 120 day lates 2 ok 2 120 day lates last lates reported in 2009 Rehabbed into Student Loan #1 in 2012 but still being reported

Okay thank you. Installment loans? Yes I had a previous car loan that I paid off earlier this year. That loan was for a total of 12k and had an excellent(as in no missed payments) the entire time of the loan.

Don't understand the question you are asking me. Just wondering how it would ding my credit. Lower/stay the same/raise the score.

Unsatisfied with Validation Letter...need help!
JustAnotherGuy replied to Jason2.0t's topic in Credit Forum
At this point, I'm willing to do anything that could help. Haven't sent the payment just yet (waiting on some funds to clear), but will a PFD work on a junk debt? just want to cover all my bases I'm not sure what you mean by "junk debt", but I would try sending a PFD letter to the OC and see if they bite. I had two PFD's accepted on accounts that went to a CA and I sent the PFD's to the OC and offered to pay the full amount(I owed it, I wanted to pay it). I think and I could be wrong but sometimes OC's just use CA's to work on the collection portion and still remain "in charge" of the debt. Good luck with everything. -

I see you already accepted a settlement, if you haven't sent a payment yet how about asking for a PFD(pay for delete)? They may or may not go for it but I would say its worth the postage to send in a PFD request. -
Mind sharing the fax number that you used? I have 5 loans through them, one payment gets divided by those 5, yet on my report it shows that I was late on two of them and not the other 3.

Apply for Barclay's Apple Card or wait?

Quick bump for more opinions. Thanks CB. -
TransUnion - 726 I haven't pulled my other two scores in a few months. I know Barclays uses TU though. Thanks for sharing and congrats again.

So all of my accounts are up to date, credit score from myfico showing around about 630ish, USAA fakos 680ish(I know they don't mean anything) 2 credit cards 1 with a 300 limit no balance, the other with a 400 limit no balance, A secured USAA Mastercard with $1000 limit and under 300 balance. 3 inquiries in the past two years the most recent one 5 months ago for the USAA Secured Card. Don't really have a need for it but would like to try and get a card just to buy a new macbook pro. Should I go for it or just go without? Like I said its not a need but a want and I figured if I get approved having an additional line of credit wouldn't hurt but being turned down would(I think). So should I apply and see what happens or just go without and maybe just put more money on the secured card to show a higher limit?

Has anyone that has had their Direct Loans turned over to MOHELA have both Direct Loans and MOHELA show up on your report? That's how it is showing up on mine so it looks like I am actually double in debt than I actually am. If that how creditors would see it? Is this hurting me showing like this? If it is hurting or even if it isn't how can I get only MOHELA to show since Direct Loans has turned responsibility over to MOHELA.

Is there a thread or database on PFD successes?
JustAnotherGuy replied to adastra's topic in Credit Forum
I know Applied Bank accepts them. I filed a complaint with the BBB and someone from them contacted me. I didn't try to short change them, I owed what they said I owed. I offered to repay what I owed if they would delete the account from my report. Made my payments and they followed through quite quickly. Good luck.
