  1. After all these years! I jumped for the ZYNC when it first came out and was given a measley $200 hard limit. So, used it like a debit card. After all these years, I now have "no limit" instead of "$200." Never understood why AMEX didn't like me because I've got some good cards and good limits, but they'd never remove it. I do notice they are sticking close to the $200 with my "check spending power," but may trust me more as time goes on. So, if any of you have that Zync dinosaur with a hard limit, maybe your turn is coming! Maybe in time I can now apply for another AMEX.
  2. Mine started at $2,500 about 1 1/2 years ago. The credit limit increase button popped up recently and I asked for $7k and got it.
  3. Good for you on getting an offer, at least. I am at 700 and have an old Zync card with a hard subprime limit that has never been late. I can't get any other card from them nor will AMEX raise that limit. I've got plenty of good cards with decent limits, they just don't like me.
  4. FNBO was fine, I have their AMEX. But, they don't like something in my profile and keep CLDing me, even though limits are increasing on other cards. I suppose it is college loans for my kids they do not like. And the fact I don't use it anymore. Well, hello, not going to use it if you are lowering my line. Will be closing soon,
  5. A shame Cap 1 says it can't do anything. I accidentally pulled $500 to pay a Synch card from my daughter's CU checking rather than mine and it bounced. She pays her own cards and is a college student building credit, but sometimes I help out. Didn't know until she got a letter. I called immediately and explained what happened and re-posted the payment. The rep was very kind and even removed the late fee and said all was good. I'd paid early, so it didn't hit the 30 day mark, thankfully, but was now a week late. Then called the CU to tell them of my error and and all was good. Honest mistakes happen and I'm not sure why some companies can't be more understanding as long as it doesn't repeat.
  6. They do send me these offers, but they are always a 5% fee.............. Maybe they just really like me? I always have the 0% with 3% fee or no fee and 5% interest for 12 months available. I've gotten picky these days ... any bt offer with over a 2% fee is trash canned ... never less than 3% on my former Dia. Beyond the intro offer when I opened the card, best opportunity came 10 years later when I was able to convert to Double Cash and keep the benefit of age. That is what I did - converted my DP to DC,
  7. CLD? Due to lack of usages or score changes? Can you be more specific , any elaboration will be helpful... They gave me a NPSL Amex, listed as flexible spending on my CR, after a year later, terms and conditions has amended, NPSL no longer applied. I don't recall. I think my overall balances were higher than they liked, maybe I spooked them being new and all. Since then, balances are down. No negatives and FICO almost 700 but not quite (student loan debt).
  8. FNBO doesn't like me. I was approved for their AMEX for $2,500 after receiving a pre-screened/pre-approval in the mail. I used it, too. A year later, they CLD'd me to $800, keeping with my balance. I haven't used it again and will close it myself soon. I have good cards with good limits, so not gonna play their game. Otherwise, the card was ok.
  9. Well I pushed the button Saturday and got the 2-day message. Logged in this morning and had a $4500 increase. Just got a $500 increase last time. Brings me over $18k. I like Discover!
  10. Lol, I loved into BBRZ to pay and saw a $300 increase. Low hanging fruit card of no value, but I keep it for age and because CITI Bank has it now. But I will take it!
  11. Sill holding. Think I will transfer my PLOC funds to my bank just in case. Want to use it for consolidation anyway. No time like the present.
  12. All good here, still. Hopefull, I'm good.
  13. $700 CLI on Banana Republic visa. Tried via love button 2 weeks ago and the msg said not available for this acct. Today, I got an email regarding the increase. Brings me to $8k, not my best limit, but not bad considering it began as a $500 store card a few years ago.
  14. So far, so good with me. I got my card in the frenzy, but only $10k. Have 2 auto loans and a PLOC, too. I got the PLOC to consolidate credit cards, but haven't yet. Maybe I should get it done quick! Keeping fingers crossed.
  15. Mine stayed under review/pending for 3 days, so I finally called. They needed a document and we're waiting on me, but I didn't get that msg. After that, it moved quickly. Just saying if it doesn't move in a day or 2, call.
