Thanks for the replies guys. I really appreciate it. I will pay my balance off every month and only charge up to 9%. I did consider a lawyer but theres no proof that i went there. I shouldve kept the receipts.

So today i went to get a secured credit card with a $500 limit at wells fargo as the first step towards rebuilding my credit. Any suggestions on how much to charge on it and whether or not to pay the balance off every month or not. Any help would be appreciated.

Just a quick note here. I know not all credit repair companies are the same but the one I went to was a waste of time and money. It was a local company and in one year it kept my score in the 540s. All I kept hearing was that it takes time and to be patient from the company, while paying them $100 a month. I just quit on them after exactly one year with exactly 0 progress about a year ago. The worst part is that I don't know how stuff was disputed by them so I don't know where to start. I guess I'll just start from scratch and try to fix it a bit for christmas for a better vehicle for my wife before the one she drives breaks down for good. So to anyone considering a credit repair company, consider this site first.

after about 3 weeks I have managed to get my old addresses deleted from TU only. Should I still proceed with the 3rd step.

Thanks for all the tips. Its with Verizon and not a CA. I tried negotiating with them but they want me to pay the full balance and report it as 0 balance. I don't know what the Sol are here in TX.

i have an account that I didn't pay with Verizon. I haven't been able to remove it from my credit and it's really affecting me. I owe them $553 and i tried to make a deal with them as long as they remove it but they don't wanna work with me. I was wondering if the jack attack letter would work in a case like this. Any help would be appreciated.

Thanx for the reply. I did opt out but how do I get my old adresses deleted? And I taught the HIPAA form was supposed to be sent to the collection agency. That's probably what I did wrong

I need some help. I just sent out WhyChat's HIPPA letter to some CA about 2 weeks ago due to some medical bills. Today I received replies from two of the four I sent saying that they are in compliance with all federal and state regulations and they have not violated HIPPA. What should I do now? Can anyone please help. I need to refinance my house soon.
