  1. If you would be so kindly to send it my way too. Thank you Sir. .
  2. If I can only get into the 700's.... Paying off a few balances so we will see and waiting for a 17 year backdate from Amex to report. Here's to 800's in 2013 !!
  3. +1 Congrats!!
  4. Yes and did not have to sign. Amex Zinc. Actually they just left it at the front of door.
  5. Posted this a few days ago and think this is where it belongs::: So I unfroze my Experian( which has 14 inquiries) and decided to give it a try 2 days ago. Received a message saying needs further review. So of course I'm thinking a denial for sure. Well being that I'm a bit impatient I checked the status right away and it said "Home Address Verification needed". So called the number they listed and made a 3 way call to my bank to verify address. The bank verified and BOOM I'm APPROVED !!! Funny thing is I tried for this card a year ago with only 25% UTIL and a 680 EX Fico score and was denied. I have 14 accounts in good standing, 53% UTIL, AAOA is 2.7 yrs, a charge off from B of A in 2007 that was paid in 2010 for less then half. They pulled all 3 bureaus for this card. Ex has 14 inq, TU has 4, EQ has 4. Her's the interesting part: I had a old account with AMEX (Green card) in March of 1995. It had a $500 limit and a $385 unpaid balance. So they closed the card for non payment. I was 17 and was not responsible enough I guess. Gotta love the 90's !!! This account was on my credit reports up until 2005 then it just fell off. So fast forward now and I go to activate new Zinc card (NPSL) online and it says MEMBER SINCE 1995 !!! Although the card I just received today says member since 2012. I immediately called card replacement and requested a new card reflecting my 1995 member year. The kind lady said "Oh sure and by the way were so sorry this happened." She then said that their system did not pick up the old member year fast enough before the card was printed. I then said can you expedite this to me?? Oh sure she says, you'll have it by 2moro afternoon by way of UPS. ...Did I just sneak back in???
  6. Thanks all for your responses. Really do appreciate it !!
  7. BTW not sure how to figure out my new AAOA. My current AAOA is 2 yrs 7 months. Would you be so kind is to provide me with the secret formula????
  8. Ya I probably should wait until January to get the full effect. If anyone thinks they figured out AMEX's approval methods think again. This is really odd. I have been reading all over that Zinc would not or it is real hard to get backdated. I completely ruled that out before I applied. Thinking I would just get in, apply for the green later and then try to backdate. But waallaaa there it is 1995. Unbelievable is all I can say. Good luck for future CB ers!!
  9. Don't need the C$. Basically I was just trying to sneak back in and it worked. Just shocked is all. I think I'll be a good boy and wait until the holidays and apply for the Blue. Don't wanna rock the boat.

Or how long I should wait to apply for the Blue? My scores now are EX-644, TU-675, EQ- 651. All Fico's. Thinking I should lay low for awhile. Hmmmmm.
  11. Hrmmm that's not what they told me at all. I made it very clear I was looking to upgrade the existing account not open a new one. I had the same issue with Macys as well. I made it very clear I was not interested in the Macys Amex if it required a hard pull. Was not ready at the time to take the hard pull. So after checking my reports a week later, sure enough there was a hard inq. I simply called the Macys store card customer service and explained to the rep that i did not authorize the hard pull and they removed it within a week. Hope you do the same as you did not authorize them to do so. Good luck.
  12. I too had a BofA charge off in 2007 and paid early 2010 and 1 other baddie. Got approved for Discover Escape card early this year. Maybe lucky, but it is very possible. Hope that helps. Good luck!
