I'm currently in the process of refinancing my home and have ran into some issues w/ being approved for a conventional mortgage. I'm confused on where the issue is. I leased a vehicle in October of '17 and the dealership provided my score of 782. Fast forward to Oct/Nov of '18 - I have an AmEx and viewed their FICO score program and my score dropped to 659. I have had 1 30 day late payment in the last 8 years (I was a cosigner and the car was totaled and insurance didn't payout on time and caused a 30 day late). I have roughly 28% utilization on CC's. I didn't qualify for a conventional loan. As of 1/30/19 I used my AmEx to pull another FICO and it stated 731. Great! So I contacted my lender and advised and we submitted a new application for refi. My score came back at 669....What in the world is going on? I pulled all three reports from my previous refi application and all way good to go except the 1 30 day late from June of '18. Any ideas on why my score is fluctuating so much?

Hello, I just received a call from a JDB from an account that I disputed and was removed from my report roughly 1 1/2 - 2 years ago. The rep on the phone wanted me to verify my information Name, DOB, Address AND I refused. I told him that you should contact me through the postal service and hung up. I also told him that I have no clue what he is talking about and I have no recollection of what debt he is talking about. Please advise if this was the way to handle this information.

So I got a approved for a Home Depot store card with a $500 limit. The plan is 6 months 0% interest so I bought some patio furniture. The question I have is should I go the whole 6 months to pay it off or should I take a nice big chunk out say $300 on the first payment and then ride out the rest. What would be the best to build credit. Should I bring the utilization down to say 20% and slowly pay it off before the 6 months obviously?

She offered to remove both at the same office i called. I think I will give them a call back on Monday and see what I can do.

So I went to a dealership and bought a car. I asked the salesman how he was going to pull my credit and with how many banks. He informed me that he will pull my credit once and then give my report to the different banks so they won't have to pull......So I verified that he will only pull my credit ONCE. He said yes, only once. WELLLLLLL.....I pull my USAA credit monitoring today and bam...13 inquiries from that day. What in the heckkkk. Any advice on what to do?

I was in the market for a auto loan and got approved at 4% for 17,500. I had a previous auto loan with chase that is paid off but there are 3 lates on it from 2010. I also had a chase credit card back a year or two ago that had 4 30 day lates on it. I contacted chase about goodwill removing the lates and I got a letter to call there executive office so I did. They said they couldn't remove the lates on the credit card but could remove the whole account. At which i agreed and boom it was gone. They said they could do the same for my auto loan but I opted to not delete a auto loan with 3 lates as I knew i wanted to get a car in the future and I thought that it would help me a bit. Now that I have a car NEW car loan should I call the executive office and ask them to remove my chase auto loan that is paid with 3 lates on it? Kinda torn on what to do since i now have a new loan and will not be looking for a new car and no I am responsible enough to NOT BE LATE on this auto loan EVERRRRR!!!! What do you guys and gals think I should do?

Are they allowed to delete and then trade off to another company? I will check my DV letter to the company because I think I also put in the letter that they will not sell or trade the account to a new collector. Is that even possible?

I had a visa account go to collection. I sent the CA a DV letter and they deleted. Today I get a call from another collector trying to collect the debt. Is that possible? What to do?

So I app'd at my local CU. They approved my app of 22.5k which I don't plan on purchasing a car at that price anymore. I now want to spend around 15-17k. The interest rate of 7.5% with fico at 637. What would you guys do? I am also in the process of disputing my student loan as it is reporting wrong. Should I take the car loan or shop around?
-
Mine was not transferred but I have double entries from DOE. One showing as a collection and the other showing as regular. Good luck!
-
I would ask this - "A DOE Rep told me that I paid in time to avoid having my account go to collections. Why are two negative tradelines appearing on my credit reports for my one account, and why does one of them appear to be labeled as a DOE collection account?" I feel like I have said this to them and there response was....everything is good on our end. The CRA must be disputing it wrong. Contact them to figure it out. I will call them again today and see what I can do.
