Thanks NTB. I plan on contacting Cap 1's executive office tomorrow.

Has anybody had any luck getting CC rate reductions from Chase, CapitalOne or Barclays even if you got the CC AFTER you joined the Military? I know the SCRA is for debt incurred prior to entering service.

Yes, why are you suing?

Do they keep a log of when/how many times you've called underwriting? If I call tomorrow will they know I called UW last week and was denied the Sapphire Recon?

Logged in today and my credit limit was increased from $700 to $1400. I've had the card 9 months. Mainly posting this for historical stat purposes for those tracking auto CLI's.

O, glad you mentioned that. Thanks!

Got my first successful recon today. I applied for the Barclays Carnival Master Card two days ago and was denied online. I got up this morning and after reading CB I decided to try a recon. I called and the gentleman asked a few security questions, then pulled up my application. He said "I see you've been doing really good on your Navy Federal and USAA credit cards, but could you tell about your credit card accounts in 2006 - 2007". I explained why I had 2 cards charged off and told him "as you can see, I've turned things around", he then said "ok, we can approve you for $2,500, your card will be arriving within 10 business days". Thanks CB!

Is this a new requirement for a NFCU Business Credit Card? I received this e-mail after talking with Navy Fed about a business card. It was a pleasure talking with you today and thank you for your interest in Navy Federal Business Services. To open a business account, we will need a completed Business Membership Application (attached below) along with two forms of documentation showing proof of existence for your business. For a Corporation, Limited Liability Company, or Partnership we will require one of the following applicable pieces of documentation, Articles of Incorporation, Articles of Organization, or the Partnership Agreement. Additionally, we will require one more form as proof of business such as the IRS Federal Tax ID number letter, Trade Name Certificate, Sales Tax Certificate, or some other official document from the State, Federal, or Local Government listing your business name. If your business is formed as a Sole Proprietorship then please provide two of the following forms of documentation, Business License, DBA Certificate, Assumed Name Certificate, Fictitious Name Certificate, Sellers Permit, Sales Tax Certificate, Trade Name Certificate, or IRS Federal Tax ID number letter. <br style="color: rgb(69, 69, 69); font-family: Helvetica, Arial, sans-serif;"><br style="color: rgb(69, 69, 69); font-family: Helvetica, Arial, sans-serif;">For credit card requests with limits of $10,000 and below, we will require the following: <br style="color: rgb(69, 69, 69); font-family: Helvetica, Arial, sans-serif;"><br style="color: rgb(69, 69, 69); font-family: Helvetica, Arial, sans-serif;">- A fully completed Multi-Purpose Business Loan Application <br style="color: rgb(69, 69, 69); font-family: Helvetica, Arial, sans-serif;"><br style="color: rgb(69, 69, 69); font-family: Helvetica, Arial, sans-serif;">- Front and Back copy of all owner's drivers licenses <br style="color: rgb(69, 69, 69); font-family: Helvetica, Arial, sans-serif;"><br style="color: rgb(69, 69, 69); font-family: Helvetica, Arial, sans-serif;">- Articles of Incorporation or Organization if applicable <br style="color: rgb(69, 69, 69); font-family: Helvetica, Arial, sans-serif;">

Agreed, it's my hooker money

When you get the denial letter, research the reasons listed. Then call for a recon and just say something like "I recently applied for a Barclay NFL card and was denied, I would like to ask for a reconsideration". Then be prepared to explain the reasons listed on the denial letter and other possible "baddies" or high utilization on your CR.

I’m having a problem finding financing for a manufactured mobilehome. I’m currently in the Military and am tired of “throwing away” money onrent. The Government gives me $1,300 a month for housing; I currently live inBase Housing. (all of the money goes towards rent). When I transfer to a newduty station, obviously the home doesn't come with me. So, I would like topurchase a mobile home, and when I transfer, The Government will pay *some* ofthe cost to move the home. My problem is I can’t find a lender that will allow the hometo be moved during the life of the loan. We don’t want to buy a house and *attempt* to sell it whenit comes time to transfer. Because if I don’t sell it, we are still responsiblefor the mortgage. Anybody have any recommendations for lenders? NFCU will notfinance mobile homes.

Just a basic e-mail. I would use a new e-mail address. I sample e-mail might read: Hello, I read about Military members receiving a free FICO Score report on saveandinvest.org, but I don't have an active code to use. We currently don't have a Financial Educator at <enter your base>. Could I get the January Financial Educator Code? Thank You, <name>

Can somebody e-mail CreditScore@finra.org and request January's Financial Educator Code? I e-mailed them but they said I've received too many free credit scores so they will not release the code. Try using a new e-mail address, I think that's how they tracked it because I've pulled way more reports than they quoted me.

Whatever you decide to do, remember nobody cares more about your credit than you do.
