1. 18K in debt is not much, heck I have abou 22K+ in debt and I will never think about bankruptcy. Call your creditors and tell them your situation. My auto loan is past due 5 months, and they will not reposses it because I try to make payments even if its just $25 out of $300 a month. I also work with their account specialist that helps me keep on track.
2. Long story short I was unemployed for 15 months, and now I have a business that is profitable. I have a lot of debt, and I need to get a loan to expand my business. I have 2 charge offs, 1 Department of defense collection, 1 auto loan, and several credit cards. I just started business 3 months ago, and make about $3000 profit a month, with $2000 going back for investment. So I have about $1000 a month to play with. USAA $1,300 credit card (closed) $341 Credit card ($30/mo) $100 Credit card (closed) NFCU $12,000 Auto loan ($283/mo) $7,000 Personal loan (charge off) $1,500 personal loan (charge off) $600 credit card (closed) ($22/mo) $1,200 credit card (closed) ($40/mo) Milstar $1,800 Store credit card (closed, unknown never received a statement after a year) Chase $500 Credit card ($35/mo) Department of defense $700 (Old military debts Article 15s) Question is what's the best way to get rid of the debt while trying to improve my credit score. Right now my credit FICO 452
3. My DUNS number is about 70 days old. Under my business name, no I have not.
4. Nope, is there a guide to getting business accounts? I've had my EIN for about 3 years now, but never used it. I always used my SSN.
5. Hi, For some reason my business is not listed in Equifax, Experian or D&B. I have an EIN, and DUNS #, but when I try to search for my business to retrieve my Business Credit rating, I can't find it.. What am I doing wrong here? I can find my Uncles business and he doesnt even know what a EIN and DUNS # is.
6. Two years ago I had PERFECT credit, but then I was injured and was not able to find a job since then. I have about 7 credit cards, all past due and closed. 2 personal loans charged off $10k total, 1 auto loan which I'm trying to save by working with NFCU. Currently I have no job, but recently started a gun business from my home. I have my federal firearms license, and making some profit. I've already told NFCU, and they agreed to help me by resetting my auto loan. I'm really lost at what I should do. I can't do unemployment benefits because where I live there is no such thing.
7. I'm in the same boat as you, except I'm a 07 FFL SOT 2. I manufacture Title 1 and Title 2 Firearms. All from my house. I basically have the market in my area, and have sold several machine guns to my local PD. Only problem is I HAVE NO CREDIT AT ALL. I'm making profit out of my own money I make. Which people might think is a good thing, but my costs are adding up, and I can't afford inventory. I have the demand, but no resources to meet that demand. I can't get a loan because my credit is crippled. Anyone know what I can do now?
8. Due to a bad business startup I have defaulted on my 2 NFCU Unsecured personal loans. I received a letter saying my loan has been classified as defaulted. However on the bottom it says they will accept monthly payments of $132.93 and $34 a month plus interest. OR A lump sum settlement of $2,658.66 and $620.71. What is this lump sum settlement? What course of action should I take? Right now I'm just doing damage control on my credit, even though it's ruined already.
9. I don't really support anyone since I'm single with no dependents. I'm staying with my parents right now. Attending college for free using my GI Bill. So yes, I applied for so many positions, but I can't seem to land a position. I have a highly technical IT background, and can't land an entry level job. The jobs I get interviewed for are usually high position jobs that needs Bachelors or years of experience which I don't have
10. Use to have perfect credit, but the start of 2012 my credit took a downfall when my business started to fail. Now that I do not rely on my business for income, I'm trying to find a job. Currently unemployed still. Very hard for a US Army Veteran to get a job. NFCU Auto Loan 60 Days Late NFCU Personal Loan 1: 91 Days Late NFCU Personal Loan 2: 87 Days Late Checkings Account USAA: Closed Negative Balance $280 NFCU Savings: $140 Negative Balance USAA Checkings #2: $29.99 Negative Military Star 120 Days late $1,700 What;'s worse is I owe the Department of Defense for overpayment of benefits during my time in the U.S. Army $564.23 I'm afraid to look at my credit score, because I know it's ruined. Total Debt: $24,000+ and climbing. I'm probably blacklisted on Chexsystems All due to bank fees. Only my 4 other credit cards are in good standing. Right now I'm in financial turmoil. Advice Please. I'm only 22 And I don't want to file for bankruptcy.
11. Lost the battle some more.... Use to have perfect credit, but the start of 2012 my credit took a downfall. Aswell as my business. Business seems to be picking up, still unemployed though. Auto Loan 60 Days Late Personal Loan 1: 91 Days Late Personal Loan 2: 87 Days Late Checkings Account USAA: Closed Negative Balance $280 Navy Fed Savings: $140 Negative Balance USAA Checkings #2: $29.99 Negative Military Star 120 Days late $1,700 Total Debt: $24,000+ and climbing. I'm probably blacklisted on Chexsystems All due to bank fees. Only my 4 other credit cards are in good standing. Right now I'm in financial turmoil.
12. Recently got discharged from the Army due to an injury on my hip, back in July 2011. I started a business to help compensate, and was doing good until this year. Most of my clients can't pay their invoice, and it's almost impossible to find clients. (Web Programming services). I'm 50 days past due on my Auto loan, 60 days past due on my 2 personal loans, and late on 1 Military Star card 60 days. Trying to find a job, but right now I can't seem to find one. Any suggestions?
13. Update: I have lost the battle. I cannot find any way to pay it. My auto loan is 30 days late, and I'm broke. My other 2 loans are 50+ days late.
14. Well I'm officially late on 3 debts. 2 personal loans 30+ days and 1 credit card. What are my options now that my perfect credit is now tarnished? Also I noticed on my auto loan that they do not have a promissary note signed from me. Should I sign it?
15. Update:Still late on payments, and another big debt came my way from DFAS. (Department of Defense). It says I owe the Department of Defense $538.47 for their mistake on paying me extra during my active duty time. IT WAS THEIR MISTAKE AND THEY ARE MAKING ME PAY FOR IT. I sent in DD Form 2879 Waiver of Indebtness in a small chance that they can waive this debt by looking at my time in service. It's like a mercy letter asking them to forgive the debt, and wipe it off. There's a small chance of that happening since it looks like the government is really OCD about $500 from a honorable serviceman.
