  1. I have an old car repo on my credit report. They did a profit loss statement 2 years ago. I was following whychat's guide, and got a response from the creditor. They asked me for the full account number, and my full credit reports. Do I need to provide them with the credit reports? It seems like something I shouldn't have to provide them. Should I provide them with them, or send the follow up letter to the credit agencies instead?
  2. I have some collection accounts that are scheduled to fall off this year and next. What doesn't make sense to me is that the credit agencies are taking these off at different times and they range quite a bit. Here are some of the items. Collector #1 - Utility Bill Transunion High balance: $273 Date Opened: 03/31/2009 Date reported: 08/10/2009 Balance: $278 Condition: 08/10/2009 Fall off: October 2015 Experian High balance: $0 Date Opened: 03/31/2009 Date reported: 08/10/2009 Balance: $278 Condition: 11/01/2008 Fall off: May 2015 ------ Collector #2 - Auto Loan Transunion Date opened: 11/11/2005 Date updated: 10/31/2014 Last payment made: 06/02/2010 - This is weird because it still shows C/O on the credit report. Should it if I made a payment? Maybe they counted this when they sold the car at auction? Date Closed: 01/31/2010 Fall off: November 2016 Experian Date opened: 11/2005 Reported Since: 12/2005 Date of status: 02/2010 Last reported: 01/2015 Looks like last payment was November 2009 according to the payment history, but it doesn't say last date of payment. Fall off: September 2016 Equifax Date opened: 11/11/2005 Date reported: 10/31/2014 Date of last payment: 06/2010 Fall off: November 2016
  3. Thank you! Should I be ordering new ones each month while I am disputing?
  4. It is for disputing. Do I sign up online, or mail? I remember signing up once for Experian, and it didn't give me an actual report #, so I couldn't use it to dispute.
  5. Hey guys, I have always used services like privacyguard.com to get all my credit reports. Do you guys get them directly from the CRA? I have already done my annual credit report this year. Should I go directly to the CRAs? It looks like they are $15 - $19 each? Thanks.
  6. The guide talks nothing about if I get a response from the CRA with no real information. While I haven't heard from a CA, the CRA didn't verify at all.
  7. Sorry, the lawsuit is taken care of. These are other items that I got a response on ... or lack of a response.
  8. I just heard back from Experian .. "If you question the results of our dispute process, then you may want to contact the furnisher of information directly or review the original information in the public record. Please refer to your original personal credit report for the furnisher or public records office name, address, and phone number (if available)" What do I do with this?
  9. Please, anyone?
  10. Checking in on this again. any info would be great.
  11. Thanks for this information!
  12. Okay, I finally got the VIN number. I ran a carfax report and see it was sold at auction 02/15/2010. I don't see anything that says how much it was sold for. I also don't know when they repossessed the car from me. Are these supposed to be on the carfax report? How would I be able to get this information?
  13. I am working on trying to get a USDA loan. The loan officer said that I have a few accounts that are "disputed by consumer". She said that I can't qualify for a loan when they are in dispute status. She said to call the credit bureaus and have that removed. Do you know if there are any negative effects if I do this? Will it stay on my credit longer? I am wondering if I have to give a reason to take it out. I assume I would have to say the debt is valid, and then I might not be able to dispute it again in the future.
  14. Will this guide get the repo taken off my credit, or is it just to cease people contacting me to collect? I haven't heard from anyone in years on this, but want to try and get it off my credit.
  15. The car was taken away sometime in 2009 and sold shortly after that.
