  1. If you don't have too many inquires and you have good credit I would go with the 0% for 14 months. That would be a lot better than having the account closed since it will help your utilization instead of having your account closed and your utilization going to 100%.
  2. Transunion matches up fine. The csc address that I used was from the back of a csc paper report, that they specifically said to send disputes to. So I don't know what the problem was. Could they be.rejecting certified letters? How do they receive certified letters at a po box?? Sent from my HTC One X using Tapatalk 2 I use the PO Box for both Certified Mail and Return Receipt when sending stuff to CRA's. Never had a problem.
  3. If you have the funds and they are willing to put the PFD in writing I would do it. If not and it doesn't bother you then let it fall off.
  4. I have a 30 Day Late from 4 years ago that Cap One just won't let go. I know it doesn't affect my score very much, I just hate it showing in the Negative Accounts section of my credit reports. I am currently on GW letter/email #8 over the past six months. I have tried multiple people, different addresses, and spaced out the times when I sent them. I know Cap One is a hard nut to crack. They always respond with "The late occurred...blah blah blah...our policy is to report all accurate information...blah blah blah...we decline your request for deletion." Has anyone ever got their account deactivated/closed due to multiple GW requests? I have seen the posts where other members say they receive letters stated that all future requests will be ignored. I haven't got that yet. Is their any downside to an additional on-slaughter of GW requests? Should I up the number of requests I am currently send out? Open to any advice. Thanks.
  5. I have been very happy with the success I have found on CB using the tips, techniques, and knowledge of this wonderful community. I have been able to obtain $40K+ in new credit card limits, a signature loan, and an auto loan. My utilization is around 8%. Over the next year it should be paid back down below 4%. I was thinking of freezing my credit files for the next seven years to protect against potential identity theft. The only downside I could determine to a freeze would be the cost ($10 ea.) and the 3 business day delay I would experience if I needed a temporarily lift (plus another $10) for a CLI. Is there any other FICO score advantage to obtaining additional credit besides the utilization factor? Is there any other downside to a freeze which I missed?
  6. Down 1 to 675. Need to wait a little while for some lates to fall off.
  7. 723...up 1 point.
  8. Congrats! Keep it up!
  9. Mine is not up yet either.
  10. 692, same as last month. Should go up next month.
  11. Thanks for the update. I guess my mistake will be on until it falls off.
  12. As of August 4th: FICO PSECU 676 FAKO Credit.Com 759 Fico 779 Overall FAKO Credit Sesame 722 I have 1 PR, 3 lates, 8 inquires, 19 accounts in good standing, and 2% Utilization. My 4 negatives are all 4+ years old which I believe is making my Fako's look better than my real Fico.
  13. I found the article interesting. Even though all of the information is found here on the CB, it does provide a quick summary of what you have to do to maintain a good score.
