  1. Hi everyone, this forum looks like a really great resource. I'm wondering if anyone here can help me with my credit dilemma? Basically, I left Canada to live in the UK just over 3 years ago. Before leaving the country I had run into some problems - losing a job, illness of a parent, etc. - which lead to me being reckless about paying off debt (i just kind of stopped paying my 2 credit cards and a few household bills). I know it was irresponsible, but I just left the country without settling those debts. I am now in a much better place and would like to deal with any debt left behind because even though I don't plan to return to the country to live any time soon, I don't like the idea of having debt there. I had one card with about $1,500 and another with $1000 and probably a couple $100 in other bills. I know I should do a credit report to see exactly what I owe, but my concern is that creditors will start harassing me to pay at my English address and I really don't want that do the credit report companies share that kind of info with creditors? Is it worth it to try and pay my debt from over here? Thanks so much for any help or advice
