  1. No.
  2. I have an account with BofA, which they closed about 7 months ago, however I still have a balance that I’m trying to pay down/off. Here is my problem: Each month after I make my payment, they apply the interest which then brings my account over the limit then they charge me an over the limit amount. I’m trying to keep current on all of my payments and until I have some extra money to make a large payment, my payments with them seem to get larger and larger. HELP -Can they legally do this?
  3. Thanks Focused, this is all new to me and your information was truly helpful. Regarding your friend, you indicated she used the sellers closing assistance fund to pay for her prepaid. Can you give me a little more information how her assistance program worked and are you planning to do the same? Willtygart, you don’t sound pleased with the program. Where did you obtain your information, and how much research have you done on the program? As you can see, I have given raving reviews by Focused and she seem to have lots of fact, don’t get me wrong but your opinion appears to be just that an opinion. I’m looking for facts as you know them or were told by someone using/considered the program.
  4. Has anyone used the NACA program to purchase a home? It appears to be a good program if it is as they claim. NACA supposedly does not require PMI, down payment, or closing costs. You do have to have $2000.00 savings for escrow to pay for one year of home insurance and other pre-paid items. In addition, they also claim prime lending rates for people with lower FICO scores who would otherwise receive higher rates. The only catch that I see is the required counseling, and you have to pay $3000 to a fund to help others which is payable at $50/month for 5 years. Supposedly there are no other costs involved. There are other eligibility requirements that must be met as well. I should receive all of this in writing within the next few days, but this is all I know at the time and the information on the website is limited at best. Anyone used NACA or knows someone who has? Good or Bad?

  6. No, I have a Spiegal but I did get the notice
  7. They are refusing to remove a late payment. I mixed up two bills, sending them the wrong one for an amount even lower than the min payment so the balance was consider late. However, they cashed the check.
  8. Anyone have a fax number?
  9. In reading the post about Macy’s and Redheadedmon I have a question. If I’m reading it correctly and I sure hope that I am. It’s unlawful for Macys to show an account as open with a credit limit, yet indicate the account was closed by the creditor. I assuming that if the account is closed, whether by the creditor or consumer the credit limit should be zero? On a different topic: What is the correct way to ask a question regarding someone’s post.
  10. Sorry it took so long, but I'm one of those tying to work and clean credit at the same time. Anyway, those are ok, I'm having problems with credit cards.

  12. Oh boy do I agree the waiting is driving me crazy. I started this about three weeks ago and I run home each day hoping I get something in the mail. One way or other, but in the meantime I read and learn so that I really for whatever they hit me with.
  13. Thanks I need as much information as I get, I want to buy a house, but right now my FICO is about 565. I have twp charge off's that they must clear and a few lates; which I am working on now. I'm hoping that in three months I will be able to start the process with a FICO of around 620. Plus I read somewhere that they will not consider my car note if I have less than 9 payment left. Is this company in Calif?
  14. I’m really confused now, I trying to go after a FHA loan and from my research FHA loans they really looks at your last two years worth of credit history. Were your scores low but over the last two years you did everything right (i.e. no lates). :?
