  1. My CL was 2000 and now it is 288-this card is sockdrawered. I paid them down to 280 last month from being maxxed out. There was some late payments, but I wasn't expecting them to drop my CL. Sheesh. what a bunch of jerks. You would think they enjoyed wrangling all that money out of me.
  2. Okay, so oops. I went to make a deposit it was too late. They closed my account. It was only a little bit overdrawn ($80), and I was only a couple days too late. The bank was washington mutual. So I paid the $, since I was going to deposit it anyway. They couldn't tell me if I was going to be reported to ChexSystems. Does anybody here know if they will or how to find out? Or when I should order a report to check it out? Or when they would report? Or should I visit the bank manager of the branch I opened the account and see what will happen? I opened an account the same day at Citibank, and figured they would check ChexSystems but they must have just checked my credit since they didn't make 'the call' Suprisingly I was okayed. I also opened an account just 2 days before at another bank where they did check chexsystems and I wasn't on it. or if I was they didn't say anything and didn't deny me.
  3. send them a DV Stay off the phone If they can't prove the debt or if you can prove its incorrect they cannot report it on your CR.
  4. Pryan if the bill is incorrect then it is incorrect on my credit report too. and will the interest go away?
  5. If you look up in the civil procedure for your state, you can check to see about enforcing judgments. Usually they can't enforce a judgment (meaning file leins, abstracts, filing the judgment with the CRA etc) until the appeal period has passed.
  6. bump for more opinions.
  7. I received a letter today for the Tenet Healthcare Class Action Lawsuit. THere are two options. A. Get a settlement if you were an uninsured patient, who paid out of pocket for treatment during the period June 15,1999 to December 31, 2004. B. You may qualify for a discounted hospital bill, if you owe a Tenet-affiliated hospital money and were uninsured when you received treatment from June 15, 1999 to December 31, 2004. You may want a revised disounted hospital bill because it may help repair your credit raitng. Please read this notice carefully to learn about how you may received a discounted hospital bill. Ok, so we fit in B. Its our last unpaid collection. We have to call a phone number to get the revised bill. We actually tried to settle this bill in the past couple weeks, and they wouldn't renegotiate (CFC) so we didn't pay it. We are also almost out of SOL. I wonder if I get the revised bill, will it reset the SOL and erase the credit mark. I have a lot of information to read on this, but I wondered if anybody else is dealing with this class action lawsuit. Amytenet class action webpage
  8. I just sent in a letter today with my tax payment for 2003. Stating hardship. I paid the balance plus the interest and asked the penalties be waived. we shall see what happens. They were also charging me 4430 for late filing, which was not the case. We shall see if this one is cleared up as well. If it doesn't get cleared up, the CPA is paying it.
  9. yes they will delete, they will have to because its not their debt anymore. I believe their court costs. So i'm not going to argue with them. its $477 they did send me a letter, outlining the agreement and telling us a total amount to SUBMIT TO THEM. yeah right, I wasn't born yesterday. it will be seperate checks.
  10. didn't get the email. didn't get dumped, I don't think! however I tried to log in and it wouldn't work...but I think I have to change browsers and security settings.
  11. *UPDATE* OC called me back and is settling for $600 less than the original full debt, plus I am paying legal fees to the CA....which equals to the full amount of the original debt. Ha Ha. not to the OC, but to the CA. The OC gets what she deserves (almost the full amount). So does the CA (nothing).
  12. LOL Pryan. You couldn't even imagine the SHOCK I suffered when I realized our sons were on our baseball team. The double SHOCK when I realized she was a coach. I bet she was shocked when she first saw that we sponsored the team.
  13. Sorry I've been away for a bit. I need some advice. Anyway, one of our debts we can settle. It was a dental bill, she turned over to collections and they filed in court. Court was postponed until June, but now we can settle. I called the OC (PRYAN you've got to hear the rest of this story--I did not call the collection agency) to see if she wanted us to pay her first. I have a copy of their contract that I got in validation and it doesn't say they are obligated to continue the contract. On the bottom of the contract it says IMMEDIATELY NOTIFY US OF ALL SETTLEMENTS MADE WITH YOU DIRECT. The dentist said she thought she would have to pay them a certain amount according to the contract, but I said I thought she wasn't bound by that and if she accepted settlement then she would get more money. anyway, I guess I'm nervous. I called to apologize to her and I thought she deserved the full amount of $. She said she would double check the contract and let me know tomorrow. Pryan: our kids are on the same baseball team. Her SO and herself are coaches and did the picking, obviously she didn't help with the picking or we'd be on a different team. Its been ok, we've both been professional enough about it. LOL
