  1. I recently bought a new vehicle and am currently in a chapter 13. It did take about three weeks to get the trustee approval but the process went pretty easily. I first obtained financing, then found the vehicle, and then brought the payment and interest rate to my attorney. He redrew my budget for the trustee and the trustee approved it. It did take the dealership's patience to hold the vehicle for three weeks but they did and later got the sale. Hope this helps.
  2. BTW SBA, I am not trying to come off as rude. If you can explain why you feel disputing with the CRA would be appropriate I would listen.
  3. I believe that the CRA will verify with the CA and they will send the same documents to the CRA as they sent me with all the court information. Once they realize that I have an intent to remove the negative TL from my report, they may add the additional dets as individual TLs as they will know see that I am not just a dead beat and it would be worth the cost to try to recover the money owed.
  4. I understand the basics. I only have my current address with all bureaus. I understand the entire process and how and why it works. My concern is once they see me fight the one negative reporting account and realize the ability to pay as well as the intention to clean my reports, they will want to add the other accounts in an attempt to get paid on those as well. My question is basically: what is the best way of going about clearing it all up with out any further damage to my reports (adding the other accounts) while still trying to manage to fix the current situation (remove the one reporting account)? Do you think that if I offer to pay all monies owed, the CA will delete the one negative TL?
  5. Any thoughts?
  6. Alright so I am down to a couple of negatives left on my reports and obviously want to avoid adding more. I owe the circuit court for multiple things. A fee that they administer for child support calculations, a rabie tag violation for my dog and an old ticket. Alliance One in Washington has all the accounts and has reported one to the bureaus. I sent a DV and they sent me court dates and decisions. Not sure if that constitites validation but I was told the these types of debts are not subject to FDCPA. My question is: how should I go about handling these debts? I can pay them, but would like to get the one removed before making the payment. I do not want to wait, or let them know I can pay, or I may see the others appear on my bureaus. What would be the best way to go about handling this? The three debts total about $800. ANy help would be great, expecially from someone that has dealt with this type of debt. Thanks.
  7. Thanks guys. Is DCU BK friendly? I am okay with a EQ pull as that is my best bureau.
  8. Hi all, I am looking for a credit union, either local, or online that I can join that is fairly loose with there guidlines to join. My credit scores are all around 600. I am in the western suburns of Chicago. I have no military ties. I am hoping to find a credit union that I can build a solid relationship with. I have been declined checking accounts in the past but have not applied for a new one for a couple years. Any thoughts on a good CU that I may be able to join? Thanks.
  9. Unless you have as many contacts, or funnel as much business as a dealership finance department, then I would still stand by my above statement. Sounds good, thanks.
  10. Find a dealer who uses Santander. They own RoadLoans if I remember correctly. You can get a better approval thru a dealer than you can on your own. Will do Marv. Do you think that a Road Loans "approved" dealer would be able to try to get me financed through Santander, or are they obligated to finance the Road Loans rate since that is what drew me in? I appreciate all your help. Also, I know you said that a dealer could get me a better deal through Santander, do you think that I would get a better deal if I applied directly on the Santander website, instead of going through the Road Loans website, or should I stick to the dealer?

  12. I got approved for 20.28 with Road Loans, and 14% with Capital One. Unfortunately, Capital One was contingent on my BK being dismissed which I am currently in. I guess I will have to stick with Road Loans for a year or so.
  13. any thoughts?
  14. So I sent in my VD to Alliance One for a debt that they recently recieved. I called and they stated that I have four accounts i their office. All of them are from my county. I asked for validation and they sent back one page court docket info showing a ordinance violation and that was it. Is this considered validation? Also, On the initial communication it did not state that I have 30 days to dispute the validity. Am I able to use that against them, or does it not matter because they have communicated years ago about a different debt? Any help would be appreciated. Thanks.
  15. Thanks again.
