Oh wow, I never saw they changed it. Just looked and it looks like certain streaming services are 6%. Time to switch from my Double Cash to the BCP for streaming payments!

Netflix gets 6% on BCP?

Amazon Launches 'Amazon Cash', A Credit-Free Way To Make Purchases

How is this different than buying an Amazon gift card at a retailer and paying for it with cash? -

Typical drone. They can't change accurate reporting. In this case, the reporting is not accurate, so of course they can and should change it. -
Awesome, now dispute as obsolete and hope it falls off early!

It is certainly good practice to pay prior to the statement cutting but I wouldn't go so far as to say there is no benefit to paying the "traditional way". It provides additional float time, which is worth something, even if minimal. The last thing someone should be thinking about when repairing their credit is floating payments. If they are not carrying debt then they should PIF before their statement cuts. There is no benefit to letting it report now. Perhaps you missed the last few sentences I wrote concerning letting balances report after OP gains knowledge on credit. Perhaps you missed the entire post you quoted where I agreed with you except for the blanket statement that there is no possible benefit whatsoever (which is false)?

Pretty sure a missed call doesn't count as their "one call" either. They are allowed one contact with you.

The Rewards Card Strategies Discussion Thread
Gronnie replied to mendelssohn's topic in Advanced Credit Topics
Just called in to US Bank and request product change from Platinum card to Cash Plus card. Instantly agreed to. Woohoo! While it definitely won't be my "best" cash back card, it is definitely better than the vanilla platinum card.- 3995 replies

Strategy to pay/manage $75,000 debt on credit cards
Gronnie replied to Manik's topic in Credit Forum
Most likely nobody will settle unless you are delinquent. You could purposely miss some payments but it will kill your credit score. Sent from my VS986 using Tapatalk -
is this loan a gift or is my friend getting a bad deal
Gronnie replied to luckydriver's topic in Automotive Financing
Hopefully you are considering a lot more than just the monthly payment. That is what gets a lot of people (including me at your friends daughters age) in a lot of trouble. I think the Kia deal was probably good considering her situation (credit, income, debt, etc) -- but hopefully the next time she needs a car she will be in a much better place. Also, kudos for figuring out the electric bill situation and correcting it. Most would have not done that and continued to get screwed. -

How long was your loan for? Have you made all the payments on time?
