I tried reading the stickies up top, but I'm Credit challenged.
I have a collections from almost 4 years ago that was paid off almost that long ago.
It was in Alaska, and I lived in Washington in the summer, and never received a bill, and then when I went back I found I was in collections. Paid the $193, and I thought I was done.
Now I'm looking to start cleaning up my credit so that I can buy a house soon, and it's the only negative on my Credit report.
I'm not understanding the HIPAA sticky very well, but I'm thinking that since I already paid it, I can't use that?
Can someone point me in the right direction on where to start?
