  1. I keep seeing conflicting info on the AU situation. Some are saying it has raised their scores, but if I remember correctly the whole AU thing got dumped awhile back. I was thinking of getting added as an AU on my Fiance's accounts.
  2. Thanks all, I will send the long form and see what they have to say
  3. Hi all, got a collection letter for an AT&T bill It's being collected by Franklin Collections Services, Inc I sent them a debt validation letter with a limited c&d, this one to be exact. http://creditboards.com/forums/index.php?showtopic=18802&view=findpost&p=129169 They responded (This letter serves as compliance to section 809 ( per your request) And it has name, address, SS with only last 4 digits showing bill owed to, amount owed. Not sure how to respond, is that enough for verification?
  4. Definitely, just wanted to share my experience. I remember when people would say BK is "not that big of a deal" and you can get credit, credit cards, auto loans even housing right after. I don't think that flies anymore in this economy, it's definitely a big deal
  5. So far I've had no luck, guess it's not like back in the day when you could walk out of BK court, go to a dealer and be approved with 0% down and good to go again. Tried my CU (Delta Community Credit Union) denied. Capital one Denied, have had calls from a few local dealers that offer financing but don't hear back from them. Only people that are offering remotely anything of an approval is Road Loans and I don't know about them, plus the interest rate is 17.3%
  6. Hi all, I'm trying to help a friend with a medical collection with CBA of GA Inc. I'm trying to figure out what kind of letter to send them as it's been reported as a collections. They just asked for help and of course it's been more than 30 days since the letter was received. It's a valid collections and they want to pay for it but looking to pay 50% or less vs the full amount. Just need a guide in the right direction for the type of letter to use in this case?
  7. Gotcha, thanks
  8. Ok I looked around and could not find the correct letter, anyone got one?
  9. Ok thanks, I'll do that today then just have to look up the proper dispute letters for the CRAs
  10. Hi, I did send it CMRR and received the green cards back.
  11. It's been awhile since I've done one of these and actually think I've already messed up The g/f has two collections accounts on her report and she is working on buying a house (Spint and AT&T both ETF fees), her scores are all hovering at 700, she has already gotten approved for the loan but they said these need to be showing as paid before everything closes. About 25 days I go we shot off debt validation letters to both collection agencies, so far neither one has responded. What's the next step if they don't respond, dispute with the CRAs? PFD just to get it off her report?? or?? Thanks
  12. Thanks guys, guess PFD route it is, any links to a recent/good one?
  13. Working on this for the g/f as she is getting ready to get a mortgage, she is showing pre-approved though but I know those two baddies on her credit will eventually become an issue. Right now with the baddies her scores are hovering at right about 700, except for TU which is showing a 669 The baddies are both collection accounts in the $200 range (ETF's) and are 2 years or less old Sprint handled by ER Solutions AT&T handled Nationwide Recovery What would be the quickest method to getting them gone?? Thanks
  14. Gotcha thanks for the info guys, guess that pretty much answers my question
