  1. Equifax skipped the November chop the previous two years. That may be the only hope for chopped double pullers. That's good because I could really use the Kona time!
  2. I got my 2k limit with a 66x EQ FICO. Go into the store to do it and tell them you're looking to get a 1k laptop and a TV. Bet you'll get the good card that way!
  3. No problems here, either. I really hope this is a false alarm...
  4. She's never gonna live that thread down!
  5. +1 Opened an account with an EX pulling CU and got mine a few months ago. I'm going to get their credit card in a few months and hopefully I'll get my score again, as I'm sure its improved.
  6. Sweet! I wanna pull the trigger soooo bad with USAA!
  7. Sweet! Gotta love USAA!
  8. Wow! I might have to give that a try in a little bit!
  9. Call the numbers listed on the stores' sites for applying? Tell whoever answers you need to talk to someone about verifying your identity for an application.
  10. I hope that 280 was a typo! Look around here for numbers to call for recon. Tell them you why you were denied and they should be able to verify your identity. Good luck!
  11. Yep. You won't see a significant increase till those start dropping off/aging off. Start attacking those small ones. Do whatever it takes even if it means getting PFDs.
  12. Are you a member of a local CU? I think you would have better luck with one because you'd be able to explain the baddie face-to-face. I wouldn't rely on a national card issuer to give you 3k with the info you provided, or NFCU. Are those INQs all on EQ? Just saw you already had an NFCU account. Couldn't hurt to talk to them about it since they've already approved you once. Worst they can say is no.
  13. The only thing that hurts about the amount of TLs you have is when you add new ones it will decrease your average age of accounts. The AU accounts you showed help you a lot more than your 2 new accounts. But with the 20 year offset of that AmEx card, you don't have anything to worry about. I'm not sure anyone here would place a limit on 'too many TLs'. As long as you don't add so many at once that adverse action is taken to your existing accounts, keep adding over time.
  14. annualcreditreport.com Have her go there and print the form to send in. Or, she can call each CRA and get it over the phone if she's recently been denied credit.
  15. Was this a store card with snowmobile on it? I'm not understanding the card side of this. I didn't think you could co-sign a store card. Anyway, what he did was illegal. The person that bought the snowmobile should have known when there wasn't a title available. Time to get the law involved if she wants to get it off her reports one day. Otherwise she's just as liable.
