When requesting an increase, is there a particular strategy to use? Is it best to call or fax something then follow up? Should we be prepared for the hard sale on our part? Thanks in advance for any input. I have only requested an increase from Lowes online, but never heard from them.

On a fluke I found out I had 2 files. One created in 93 with 2 reporting (unknown what) and the other in 05. I requested by fax in late March that they be combined. They were combined just this month and my score went from 62 to 97. Everything in the old file matched up with everything in the new one with the exception of the biz phone number. I applied for my tax id# after this acct had initially reported to Experian. Hope this info helps

Converting Sole Proprietorship into an LLC
OnTheWayUp replied to Dlewis78's topic in Business Credit
You can get the LLC forms from your Sec of State, online (sometimes), or hire someone to complete them for you. It is faily simple to do if you want to save money. I don't know what state you are in, but you may also need to do a DBA with your new name. Last thing I can remember is adding the LLC to my paperwork with the IRS. I don't know if you can do this online. -
Did you have a one year subscription to one of their services? If not, I would tend to believe it's another scam to get money.

Experian updates very slowly. It took over 2 months to update my biz info. As far as scores go, I never saw movement more than twice a month.

Kev, if the CL falls short of the $7500, how long do you recommend waiting to request an increase? Thanks

There is something reporting to Duns with a $5000 credit limit. The only line I have with that exact CL is Dell. It just showed up this month even though I've been making payments on this acct since December 04.

I logged into the Self Monitor yesterday and it has been totally revamped. Rather than everything being on one page, there are click on tabs to see the specific pages you want to view. It's easier to read now and rather than being primarily in black and white, it's colorful.

Congrats on the promotion

Orangecrush, did they tell you they couldn't put it through again with the correct income? Many of us in the original Citi thread were declined initially and were able to have apps put through again with corrected info rather than wait 90 days. I hope they aren't changing their ways because errors will happen.

It took about 6 weeks for them to combine an old file I had with the new one. But, I never called anyone in regard to it.

I got my sister biz credit for her bar yesterday
OnTheWayUp replied to rigirl's topic in Business Credit
All this with no PG, a big ding on D&B and only 1 on Experian. Yep, she'd better love you. That's awesome!!! You have to wonder if that 500K loan is showing somewhere and working in her favor to get those huge lines. Even if she were 9 days beyond terms on a loan of that size, that someone trusted her enough to give her a loan of that size would speak volumes to me if I were the underwriter. Keep up the good work. -
Orangecrush, I've read in this thread about some people hitting a credit ceiling with the Citi Biz cards. I believe it's in the "OMG OMG..." pinned thread. The denials were in relation to income and total credit limits with the Citi cards. But, I can't remember if the personal cards were pulled into the equation. There are alot of pages in that thread now, but if memory serves me correctly, either Ceowens or Jenyphur has hit the ceiling.

Did you have the CIT acct first? If so, when you applied, did it give you some indication that they would be in touch with you in regard to the Citi acct, but processed your order under the CIT acct just in case the LOC wasn't approved? I'm just afraid they are going to process this under the CIT acct at the higher interest rate.
