  1. As I said, the follow up letters are on the HIPAA letter program following insert "c" Ok, its now over a month since it's been paid and the collections have only been updated to a "paid" status. So now I have to send a letter to the CRA's asking them to reinvestigate the account?
  2. Ok so roughly how long should I wait for it to update on my credit? Also if the collection remains on my credit with an updated status of paid, then I need to send in another letter?
  3. Ok, I performed the initial dispute...the account came back verified. I then sent in the letter from WhyChat's method with my remittance of $364 for the account that I owe. I finally received a letter back from them today. I have been checking my report daily waiting for it to come off but it hasn't yet. Here is the letter I received and what do I do now?????
  4. Ok thanks for the response.
  5. Alright, not even one view. Excellent. This forum dead?
  6. As the title states, I am about to start the HIPAA process on my medical collections. I can't afford to pay them ALL off right now, but I can easily get half of them taken care of. I should be working from the most recent first to make the most noticeable difference in my credit, right?
  7. So let me get this straight-- her income matters in terms of being eligible for the program but doesn't matter in terms of paying back the loan? How can they be mutually exclusive??? Damn government...
  8. Ok then this is fine as the USDA income limit is $97k for our family size and we are over that if we consider her income.
  9. That's the thing... she only works 24 hours at each job per week. And she just started both jobs less than 6 months ago.
  10. My wife and I are looking to buy a house in 2011. We had been looking at options such as USDA since the house we like would qualify for where its located. Anyhow, while going through the requirements and stuff, it shows that part-time employment can only be used if you've been working there at least 2 years. Now, my wife works 2 jobs, both part time (she works as a respiratory therapist PRN at 2 hospitals...2 days a week at each) and makes $55k per year. Considering this is half our income, would this exclude us? What about conventional loans? Does FHA have the same requirements as USDA?
  11. My wife and I are looking to get a secured card to start boosting our credit scores. Does FICO calculate lower scores for joint accounts versus individual?
  12. About to start the HIPAA process and all of my medical collections are through NCO Financial. Just wondering if anyone on here has had any luck with collections getting removed right off the bat before going back to the OC. What about any snags with getting the CA removed after the OC is paid? Thanks!
  13. Thanks for the info. I plan on getting my own card(s) as well, but she has some useful ones that would make sense for both of us to have.
  14. Heh, thanks... We've been together for 10 years though. Just put off marriage for a long time. Looking to buy our first home next summer and any bump to my credit score will help.
  15. I understand that Fair-Isaac has taken steps to prevent people from being put on strangers accounts as authorized users, but what about spouse/family members? I recently got married and my wife has 4 unsecured cards with no missed payments. I personally have ZERO credit cards. Can this still be done? Also, when she calls to get me added, is there anything specific she should say? Thanks!
