  1. Thank you. I will do that. I was doing well with keeping up with them but my daughter has some medical issues and the co-pays add up VERY quickly.
  2. My credit is a complete mess...I don't know what to do to fix it. I have two capital one credit cards with $500 balances since last year. Only other debt I have is some school loans that have never been late. I feel like I'm doing things right as of late but my score isn't getting ANY better. Here's what I'm dealing with... Any advice on what I should do? Pay things? Let them fall off over the years? Thank you. 3. You are doing everything correctly, ( I think) Is THIS the letter you sent to the CRA(s)?? http://www.whychat.5u.com/hipaadisp.html If the CRAs delete, then there is nothing further you have to do, if 1 or more CRAs do NOT delete, then the NEXT step is to send THIS to the reporting CA(s) http://www.whychat.5u.com/ltrcavalhipaa.html And as soon as you have proof of receipt, send this to the CRA(s) http://www.whychat.5u.com/ltrcavalhipaa.html#DISPUTE Thank you. I am sending them out today, wanted to make sure I was doing it correctly before sending them.
  4. And I already have a headache from reading so much about it! Lol. I think I get what to do but would like to verify and ask for any advice anyone would like to give. I opted out, have hard copies of my reports, I tried to get my old address deleted(only had one), have made a excel spreadsheet to stay organized... Now here is the basics of what I'm dealing with.. Experian has 8 collections for medical- 3 of them insurance should cover from 2010, 3 of them are about 6 years old so should rop off within the year. With the ones insurance with cover should I still try to have them deleted without paying them? I don't want them to just be covered at this point and update on my report. Experian has 8- About the same story Transunionhas 7. I would like to start the dispute process.. I compile a letter to the CRA now to request these are verified? Sent in 1 single letter to each agency listing all the accounts Certified signed mail. Then wait until the next step? Do I need to send off anything to the CA right now? I know these are questions asked over and over but I really want to do everything right and not mess this up. Thank you
  5. Thank you. I'm confused on the SOL. In Arizona it would be 6 years, these debts are just over 6 years old now, so done that affect anything?
  6. Thank you. I ended up getting a hard copy
  7. You need to contact the cra's directly for your credit report each and every one of them separately. Have you even READ the newbies section or the post above yours? I'm not trying to be snarky but you have to slow down and read which it seems you are not doing. I did, its just a ton of information to absord with toddlers running around. lol I also tryed to search for it but nothing relevant to my question appeared.
  8. I have a few medical from 2006, when will these drop off my credit report?
  9. I went to experian and purchases the 3 in 1 report for 39.xx... and no account numbers!

    Myfico

I pulled myfico earlier to get an idea of my score and whats on my credit report. They don't seem to show the account number so I can dispute the information, what should I pull to obtain the actualy account numbers?
  11. Thank you, I plan on paying as many of the Medical as possible if they will delete for pay. I have a question for the SOL laws, I have that broken lease( long story, broken lease in college with several roommates) The SOL on it is 6 years, the account is now over 6 years old, what would be the correct action to take on this?
  12. Thank you, I was thinking the Capital One may be a good one for me. Also, I might try the grandpointe.

  14. I'm not sure if they are in the time of SOL, I'm confused on how exactly that works. They are upaid, a total of 18, some are for $100-$200 none are more than $2,000, mostly medical. There is one that is from a apartment I lived in 6 years ago for $2,037 which is the highest. Nothing negative has been reported in the past year. Any suggestions on the best secured card? Thank you!
  15. Hi everyone! So my husband and I need to clamp down and really solve our credit problems. We started by doing all the wrong things before knowing what to do. We paid off out auto loan, credit cards and now have no open line of credit(ouch). We have scores of about 550, with a few collections each from things listed years ago. So here is the plan, I'd like some advice on whether this should be the plan and what else to do We plan to send of letter to the collections agency's and CRA to verify the debt. We plan on applying for a few CC, not sure whether to go with Orchard and Capital or secured cards though. Which one would do more good? We want to purchase our first home in 12 months from now. Thanks Any suggestions will be greatly appreciated.
