  1. I need some advice here.... Here is the back ground, my son was in a auto accident awhile back, rear ended, other driver at fault. My son went to a chiropractor and rung up a $1100 bill which he never paid. He wound up settling with the insurance company for a small amount and for whatever reason he thought the insurance was going to settle with the chirpractor, and they didn't. A summons for court showed up on my door (my son uses my home addy but lives elsewhere).. My son doesn't have the money to pay. What if any options does he have? If he goes to court and loses and can't pay, can his wages be garnished? This is in the State of New Mexico..
  2. Please..... Don't Generalize.... that never happened to me or anyone I know to this day. Chase CC over 15yrs now. we are not worthy, we are not worthy....
  3. Sweet car, Turbo power! Being a native of Vegas, yep gotta tint those windows.. You have done well on your credit journey, and there is a car foorum for your Cobalt: www.cobaltss.com
  4. When I first opened my Dell account they kindly gave me a 3k limit, bought several laptops and was close to max.. then for the next year i would pay down to 2500 or less and charge something else, external hard drives, mp3 players, video games... going back and forth on the balance between 2200 and 2800....always being highly utilized.... right now I owe 2500.. Logged on to make a payment and they raised me to 5500. Even though I always carried a high balance..
  5. what is the point of this post? To bump. ahhh..... makes sense..... *Lucille goes back into hiding*
  6. what is the point of this post?
  7. I say the same thing in way less words (that has been said 1,000's of times) about using cut and paste letters and I'm trown to the RABBID DOGS??? andbody here can simply pull up all your posts and see what you really bring to these forums, me as a new person noticed your trollish attitude over and over and over, adnausem. Give us a break please, most of us are here seeking help with our individual situations, not to deal with your datatribe that leads to nowhere.
  8. I am also a newbie and enjoy this forum and read it daily, and I seek help and advice and often questions I have are asked by others, so I happily go to those threads only to see yet another "Geroge" useless remark that doesn't aide anybody and in fact discourages people like me from even posting. Can somebody create a section tittled George and just for George, so I can avoid that section? *goes back into hiding and awaits the latest retort from George as he can't help himself*
  9. Happy Days are here again... The skys above are clear again... So let's sing a song of cheer again... Happy Days are here again... Altogether shout it now... There's no one who can doubt it now... So let's tell the world about it now... Happy Days are here again... a wonderful recording from 1930, signifying our Country coming out of the great depression.. FDR used this as a campaign song for the 1932 elections..
  10. congrats on a very nice purchase.
  11. so lets say I apply and get declined... What impact does this have on my credit reports/scores? forgive what probably is a basic question, I am new to learning about credit...
  12. They list two choices for a purchase I would like to make.. this offered by GE Money bank: GE Money bank offer or this one by Chase Bank: Chase Offer There is a TV PlayStation combo I would like to buy for my family for Christmas.... Only credit score I know of mine is Transunion which is 677, I got this from quarterly monitoring at myfico. I have no baddies, never late but I have high utilizations on my other accounts which keep my scores from the 700's.... I am going to be able to lower most of them by April of next year. I didn't want to apply for anything else but I found a sweet deal on a TV/Playstation combo. I may get turned down if I try, so I dont know if it's worth it. I need $1100 in credit from either of the above to do this deal. Say I apply and get declined, how much damage can I expect to my scores? I am not looking for the better credit deal, I am looking for the one I might have a better chance with being approved.
  13. thanks everybody for the links and responses, it has helped me understand much better.
