Ok I have student loans but I plan to attend graduate school next august and I graduate this august so I'm wondering do the loans automatically go in deferment because I have enrolled back in school.

When you're out of school- most loans have a 6 month "grace period" before you have to start paying. If you plan on going back to school within a year, you have options:

1. pay your loans

2. go into "in-school deferment". You have to request the paperwork to do this. Do it a couple of months before your grace period is over. I learned this the hard way and now have lates on my CRs. Live and learn.

Also, just talk to them about the time between your grace period. You can easily be granted a forbearance or deferment if you qualify. If you can afford to pay- do so. Or just try to pay on interest accrued. Every little bit helps.

Good for you on going to Grad School :blush2: ! Color me jealous!
