I was wondering if anyone knows about changing cosigners for private student loans?

 

At first my mom cosigned a 18k private student loan for me. Now I have my fiance, who I want to be as cosigner now. Is it possible?

If it is sallie mae loans you can drop your co signer after two years of payments. To be honest I would wait until you are married before using your finace for a co signer.

Did some more digging and if it is a Sallie Mae loan, if your fiance has a better credit score then they will change her as the co signer. If your credit score is above 700 and your debt to income ratio is less than 45% they will just flat out release the co signer and you won't have to worry about it either way.
