Not sure if this is the right forum for this but here's my story...

OK, I haven't filed in a while cuz I knew I owed. Went to a "friend's" tax guy and he has it that I'm getting a small refund $200< for all the years I haven't filed. My state refunds are much larger (which i've never heard of).

After going over his work, it looks like he has "business expenses" listed for an ungodly amount of money. I'm guessing that's how he brought down my taxable income to get me out of the whole.

Has anyone ever heard of this...will the IRS review this carefully and just send me a bill?

I am SO nervous...

The IRS holds you responsible for the taxes and tax filing, not the one that prepares the report. If those are not real "busniess expenses" (and from your message it doesn't sound like it) then you'lll be in trouble if you get caught.

Jail? I don't know, but certainly $$$!
