SOME GUY CALLS AND SAYS THAT HE IS FROM A HOSPITAL AND IS TRYING TO VERIFY MY DAUGHTER'S SS#, THAT THEY HAVE ALL BUT THE FIRST NUMBER VERIFIED.SAID IT'S A LAST RESORT TO CALL AND ASK, BUT THEY WERE TRYING TO WRAP IT UP. SHE HAS NOT BEEN IN THAT HOSPITAL OR ANYONE AFFILIATED WITH IT SINCE 1984. (TO MY KNOWLEDGE - SHE'S 22 YEARS OLD) SO NOW I'M WONDERING IF IT WAS A SCAM TO GET HER # OR IF THERE'S SOMETHING SHE'S HIDING. WHAT DO YOU THINK?

Ask for their number to call back. Get the name too.
" I'll have to look for that information and call you right back"

Then check it out.

That seem rather odd. Why would they need a SS#? Insurance claims
need subscriber and group numbers.

After having my CC# stolen 2X in 6 months, I'm really suspicious of any of that stuff.

I would get their number too. Something fishy here, methinks.

I'd definately look into this. GIVE THEM NOTHING. Although, some insurance co's use ss#'s as their ID.

:D Has she had her purse stolen? Or lost any ID cards?

Check her credit reports, she may be the victim of ID theft.

WHEN I TOLD HER ABOUT I D THEFT, SHE JUST LAUGHED, CAUSE ALL THE CREDIT SHE HAS IS BAD AND SHE SAID THEY CAN HAVE IT. OUR INSURANCE DOES GO BY SS#'S BUT NOT HERS, BUT BY THE SUBSCRIBER'S. I SHOULD HAVE ASKED FOR A # TO CALL THEM BACK, BUT THEY CAUGHT ME BY SUPRISE - IN THE MIDDLE OF A BEAUTY BATH - SO I DIDN'T HAVE ANYTHING TO WRITE WITH ANYWAY! AT LEAST I'M SMART ENOUGH NOW NOT TO TELL THEM ANYTHING. 2 YEARS AGO. I PROBALY WOULD HAVE.
