I just pulled my TU report and it has the following info.

Account Type Installment Account

Credit Limit(High Credit) $2,625

Minimum Monthly Payment $50 (Terms)77 Monthly

Date Opened September, 1989

Date of Last Activity October, 1995

Date Paid Out Not on Record

Date Closed September, 1996

Loan Type Student Loan

Collateral

Description Closed

Last Report on September, 1996

Balance Current status Past Due Amount

$0 Unrated or bankruptcy $0

Recent Payment History

Seven Year Payment History

30 days late: 0 60 days late: 0 90+ days late: 0

Question is, should I leave this alone since DOLA is 10/95 and would fall off in October? My concern and shock was the fact that it says the date paid out wasn't on record and the fact that they have it "Unrated or bankruptcy" Was ondering of the bk line was dragging down my score at all.

All of my student loans were consolidated and I've had one monthly payment for a long time.

Actually, it's not really doing a thing to your score. It's just some weird notation of TU's that marks loans that aren't able to be rated as "unrated or bankruptcy". SLs in deferment or forbearance are marked the same way. It might be helping you to some degree, though, because it's an older TL, which can only help. I'd leave it alone.

Hope this helps!!

That's a good question. It's so old it's probably not having much impact on your score. It could be a problem if someone does a manual review for say a mortgage.
